lowzeewee Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 Why doesnt WW create some WW figurines featuring the games and their units, structures and other stuff in it?Pls i m serious, this is not spamming,it will be a good source of money from collectors and more pple will be interested in their games
Apollyon Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 thats not such a bad idea actually. If they did a deal with Games Workshop then they could stand to make a lot of money.
DukeLeto Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 They did for Renegade...If I can find it, I'll post the link later.
lowzeewee Posted February 16, 2003 Author Posted February 16, 2003 if not,i would splurge my money on Empy figurines of units
lowzeewee Posted February 16, 2003 Author Posted February 16, 2003 or create a figurine game like those from http://www.wizkidsgames.com/Note:i collect the mech warrior ones
lowzeewee Posted February 16, 2003 Author Posted February 16, 2003 i spend like $50 on just 3 boxes ;D
Apollyon Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 or a game like Magic the Gathering would be pretty cool.
Edric O Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 Well, for one thing, Westwood doesn't exist any more...
DukeLeto Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 Well, at least they're not called WestWood anymore.
Edric O Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 ...and the people who worked at the original C&C's were fired... :(Including Joe Kucan (Kane) and even Brett Sperry, the father of C&C!!! >:(
lowzeewee Posted February 17, 2003 Author Posted February 17, 2003 what the fuck?KANE?????????????OMG.......the best guy there......no!!!!!I put a curse on them.activate the T-virus on them ;D
Navaros Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 It's now called a lostwood!!!!i prefer deadwoodoh yeah, i'd really love an NIAB keychain. how cool would THAT be? one that said "the guild is always ready!" just like in the game every time you pressed a button. it could use a watch battery too, so it could be replaced. i'd pay good $$$ for one of those so long as it was done right with real stained glass etc. (no plastic crap)
lowzeewee Posted February 17, 2003 Author Posted February 17, 2003 i would like unit figurines like fremen figurines,or better still, one that i will pay maximum $100 for=Unit lego toys :) i m serious.....i collect them for display,i will grab the devastator or the buzzsaw one first man!!!!!!!
DukeLeto Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 even Brett Sperry, the father of C&C!!! >:(Well, acyually, I think he left of his own accord...But ehat do you care? I thought you hated Cnc?
Chris Longpre Posted February 18, 2003 Posted February 18, 2003 Actually, the toy minature guys make regular visits to the game companies, and pitch their wares. It comes down to the numbers. How many units of game X will be sold, and what percent of those buyers will buy a toy figure. It just may not make any financial sense to do the toy thing, if the sales figures don't top ...say... 1 million units, etc. There is a break point where things like that make some sense. And then ... there is always license/royalty costs to consider.....And Brett leaving on his own accord??? hmmm.....
dread910 Posted February 18, 2003 Posted February 18, 2003 you joke? you can make any thing you want! i add all the untis from warcraft 3 and i gave them sets....i can do anything with someedits..!
Edric O Posted February 18, 2003 Posted February 18, 2003 Well, acyually, I think he left of his own accord...But ehat do you care? I thought you hated Cnc?You don't really know anything about me, do you? :)I absolutely LOVE C&C. After Dune, it is my favourite game series by far. But, you see, EA took the C&C name and stuck it on a bastardisation which has nothing to do with the series... namely Generals.RA2 wasn't exactly up to the C&C standards either, but it was still very much a C&C game, and I liked it.Still, the only 100% C&C's are those of the Tiberian series. They are my absolute favourite games of all time, after the Dune ones. In fact, Tiberian Sun is third only to Dune 2 and Emperor in my list of best ever games.(note that RA1 is part of the Tiberian series, as a prelude to C&C1 through the Soviet ending; but RA2 is an off-shoot, and not part of the Tiberian storyline)
