I think it's strange about the speech president Bush is going to do today. What I have read, it says that the Bush Administration has proof of WoMD's (or proof of whatever that can support an attack). The really big question is, how did they get proof, and is the proof "real"?

i dont think either of you know there is any proof. how could you? Or is it that you are unwilling to consider any evidence. Is it that you would believe fraud before you believe the evidence? If Bush shows proof of weapons, you will just conclude forgery, right? So I guess yea, there will be no proof for you guys

Did you even read my thread back then? Bush first try was to yell that Sadam was supporting Bin Laden. It turns out he's yelling bullsh1t, and a single day later he comes up with a report that says Iraq is making nukes, while the report is largely based on far fetched assumptions and vague theories. He claimed to have evidence at that point, but nobody got to see it, even today.

Iraq could never have constructed a nuke within 2 years time (since the last inspectors left) without a lot of foreign aid. The time that countries like France and Russia sold anything for a good price is pretty much over, so I predict that tonight we're in for another corny speech and no evidence.

they dont need to have a nuke constructed, only parts or a place where they are being built

Israel managed to bomb at least three experimental reactors in 80's. But not only nukes are dangerous. Iraq has chemical and bio weapons, demonstrated against Kurdi rebels and Iran. That's undoubtely fact. Of course these things can't be stored, they quickly expire, so they won't find big stores of VX. But if they have nothing now, they should show materials about liquidation of production facilities and unused arsenal.

The thing is, if the US had such proof, and all this information of their own, why wouldn't they be providing it to Hans Blix?
