Mahdi
Thufir worked for the Harkonnens because he thought it would let him take down the Emperor, whom he blamed for hte fall of House Atreides. After that, Hawat would msot likley have turned ont eh Harkonnens and been killed.
jacobdouds
Did the Harkonnen even get passed the first book?
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Alexander, please, stop insults Harkonnen, it`s the bad way
jacobdouds
It's funny, the Harkonnen did not survive further than the first book as far as I know.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
It isn`t as funny as you think, but I took "House Harkonnen" book and had better mood.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
And "House Atreides". Frank Herbert didn`t like Harkonnen, "Dune" was Atreides book ( "is" no "was" :-X). But there were more Harks than in movie
quoudam72
Does anyone have an idea what Gunseng_Harkonnen just posted? Anyway I think it would be safe to say that after the Battle of Arrakis, House Harkonnen went into a serious decline (economicly & politically). Gunseng_Harkonnen
Translation from Gunseng`s private language:In "House Atreides" are Harkonnen"Dune" is more about AtreidesIn the book is more Harkonnen than in the movie.
Alexander_Ordos
Gonseng, i never insult Harkonnen!!! >:(I'm just telling that Vladimyr is a mother *****r! He leads House Harkonnen to degradation!!!I also like The Book "House Harkonnen" it lifts the mood for sure... Death to the Atreides!!!Oh and I'm currently listening to Harkotheme.mp3 ;D
Sardauker-Kirov
Although if they are a War race, Why do they even kill their own troop's just to statisfy the Baron's blood thirst.A war race should never kill their own comrads. Instead they care more about team work :P
quoudam72
That is the downfall of House Harkonnen they have no honor amongst themselves. How can a House divided stand. Harkonnen encourage back stabbing amongst their ranks it's only a matter of time before their kind destroys themselves.
Sardauker-Kirov
Doesnt that remind us of somebody?.... Hmmmmmm *Looks at a book*Talking about stabbing, That poor baron got killed by his "own" son. God the Harkonnen are really cruel. He killed his own father. >:(
Alexander_Ordos
Here is the point Sardine, Harkonnen were tough until Vladimyr came...Anyway talking about economy of the Harkonnen, they have many stalactite mines and many facilities - this House could be VERY strong if not Vladimyr...
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Sardine has right, killing their own units is not the most wise thing that Harks do.Alexander doesn`t like Vladimir...It`s funny, since the first Dune book, everybody think that all barons should be fat (Rakon case), but in "House Atreides" book it have been write that Vlad wasn`t fat since he has born...this was some Bene Gesserit trick
Alexander_Ordos
He shouldn't rape her 8)
jacobdouds
Brian Herbert invented the Bene Gesserit poison thing. Frank never used this.
Sardauker-Kirov
Yeah, Harkonnen should work toghetter and Focus their blood thirst and anger on the enemy instead. I think the Rank Challenge's are okay. Just like in Wolf pack's The Beta fights with the Alpha. If the beta wins the Beta gets the Alpha Position. With Harkonnen its more the "Kill" thing that counts.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Harkonnen kills their own troops...so why Harkonnen troops are still Harkonnen troops...Giedi Prime is so dangerous place, what they are doing there still
jacobdouds
because they like killing, they can't kill people like that at other places.
Gunseng_Harkonnen
And they must afraid that their soon can be killed by baron...
jacobdouds
Yes, but only if they lose their use. As the Ordos say. Don't waste good material.
Alexander_Ordos
* Alexander Ordos reviewed Vlad's history and got a smart thing out of it...*Vladimyr wasn't that crazy until he caught the desease from that RM Mohiam. One thing is obvious - Vladimyr became a sadist because he was ugly so hated everyone because they weren't as ugly as he is... :-/
Gunseng_Harkonnen
Well, he was sadist before this one...but for sure he became more cruel.

Alexander_Ordos
His homosexualism is still questionable because it's mentioned only in the original dune " ....what a lovely boy..." ;D In the prequels, Vlad reelly doesn't like women BUT he also isn't homosexual...
