Is an optical mouse with a USB connection. simply as that. I`ve used the PS2 adaptor, but it works the same in the PS2 or USB connection

In control panel click on mouse and see if there is a tab for motion.If there is, uncheck the box marked enable cursor acceleration in games.

Hmm. I would still re-install your drivers for your mouse.

Also download a tweaking tool from Guru3d.com and set your agp rate to 1 X.Maybe then u can play Emp.

yes and also selected the INtel and Nvidia boxers in the compatibility mode.

Before you start the game(Emp)make sure you close all background processers.

I can't think of anything else, we have tried everything we can think of. ?

Either your graphics card is causing the problem or third party software.

Did you download all the windows patches from Microsoft, using the update feature in windows ?

I always close all the backround programs (except Explorer and Systray) before I play a game.

I have Windows updated, I checked for new updates , but there were no one.

A third party software is maybe impossible, because I have formatted my HDs 3 times. I think is incompatibility between the vid card and the MoBo or processor (sp?).

yea, yea... I know my PC is totally crap.

For that reason I`m asking you to help me choosing all the Pc stuff for my new pc, in the "New Computer" topic.

I hope this problem will disappear as I transform my Precambric Pc to an actual and powerful Pc .
