aox0m0xoa
has anyone else ever had problems with their usb randomly powering down? it happens to me alot, at least once a day, it wouldnt be so bad except i never restart, so if i want to use my game controller i have to restart to turn on usb again. ive tried all 4 ports, 2 on the motherboard, and 2 on a bracket. Nyarlathotep
I never had that before. You might check for BIOS/motherboard chipset updates.
aox0m0xoa
theres a bios update, but that seems like a lot of work, perhaps ill get to that later. but i actually thinkn its a windows problem, becuase after this recent format my computer has been going down the crapper more and more. gryphon
Never had it, and I work with Win2K. Have both a USB keyboard and mouse [ logitech ]. Somtimes there is an USB external Hard drive but that's not connected for long. That one also doesn give me any problems. So as far as I know [ and also with Linux ] you can't power down a onboard USB hub. mayby turn the signal off. That reminds me, if you don't have enought resources free at a certain time taht could be the problem. An USB hub uses a lot of them [ in my opinion ]. Besides that I have no clue.:)
aox0m0xoa
no, its not a resource problem it powers down overnight alot, when nothing is happening. but i really do think its a windows problem. but i just ordered new stuff today so it wont matter soon. ;D
