MK vs. Street Fighter

Okay this is hard for me. I used to be hardcore into both. I love MK more though because it brings back good memories as weird as that sounds.lol I was the master at 1 through Trilogy which was basically a game inanofitself. I never really got into MK 4 but it was pretty darn fun. My favorite MK game of all time was Ultimate Mortal Kombat on the N64 console. It was just so cool and spent hours on it when it came out. Street fighter was and is awesome but I just dont play the new ones much. Just never got into it. I also love the Killer Instinct series in the arcades. When I was young and dumb and didnt realize how much of a waste of money arcades are I played KI all the time.lol

I am missing out on other great fighter game series' but basically just talkin about the old side scroller ones. What do you guys think? also talk about the newer ones that are out now.

street fighter is hte best hte new mortal kombat games blow look at mk alliance :P*shudders* and street fighter 3 is awesome but i like marval v.s. capcom 2 the best! ;D

The best beat em ups were the SNK games like king of fighters round 2 - that game was heavy!!!

Best is One Must Fall 2097! Wow, it soon after commercional release liberted! Now it's fully freeware! And much better than any of such games. Epic Games was also working on a 3D version, don't you know something about it?

Yeah I heard about the new OMF it's called Battlegrounds or something like that - it looks pretty good and the original was heavy

yeah i haven't played many beat em ups... but of the beat em ups i know i like OMF best. The music was cool and i just loved those different mechs, and their vitality moves :).

I also read about the new OMF but that was a long time ago, i don't know when it's coming out though :- .Also i doubt that it will be as good as the original... but i'll keep my fingers crossed

Computer fighting sims pail in comparison to console fighters such as tekken, or soulc caliber for dream cast. The ones on PC aren't even worth wasting your breath over (oh wait, I just did :-)

that's what you say... consoles just have more beat em ups.... and i agree dead or alive for instance is better than most beat em ups on the PC.. but the PC also has some realy nice ones like Wargods

to see how a Shadow Mech grabs a Shredder from behind, grabs it... throws it over his head into the electrical walls... BAM! 30% damage

My favourite is Gargoyle. Your enemy will drop only once - when he loses ;D

Shadow is very vulnerable. Especially for Chronos. Those shadow shots need to much time. Jaguar is for experts. You need much in agility. Leap was a good combo, you just have to know WHEN you can do it. That overthrow was very hard, my brother was an expert in it. How you can do triple shot? These special combos I had never succesfully made.

The best unit of OMF 2097 is the the big robot which the Ian Tavares use[World Championship]

tripple shot? just fire 3 times after each other :).. i read all the moves for all the robots... shadow is good, just use it right.. use the right shadow at the right time.

I found jaguar to be one of the easiest cuz it was so fast. Kaitana is somewhat harder.. Electra also.. the chicken bot is kinda funny but i was never realy good with it... The Pyro bot was pretty good but kinda big and easy to hit :)... Flail was also cool, especially his vitality moves.

Katana is for beginners. That air "wheel" combo makes you unstoppable annihilator. With effect of the head stomp is it really nice ;D Even Kreissack's Nova can't deal with it.

I finished the game on the highest skill several times (you will have to activate that high skill with a special code) and that weel is not unstoppable. the katana actually lacks some moves that i require. That's why the jaguar fitted me so well.. it had exactly the moves that I needed. I didn't realy use the laser beam much... i use the leap a lot and that throw over (you know it jumps at you, grabs you and throws you over his head or something... hard to explain but very effective every time, especially the cage map

naah katana is usually a piece of cake... i have trouble with that pyro guy and chronos indeed. with his irritatin teleporting... but the rest is usually a piece of cake... sometimes flail can give me a hard time

So, if you mean what is hardest opponent, I can say that Jacqueline with Chronos or even Raven in first tour (when you are undeveloped, it's hard...) are very tough. On higher levels have best warriors Novas, and they are all powerful. When you have good strategy and fast robot, it's easy (all to endurance!), but it takes adrenaline. Especially with Gargoyle.
