Take a free ride through our galaxy!

I've just found an absolutely magnificent 3D Galaxy simulator. It's called Celestia and you can download it from this site:

http://ennui.shatters.net/celestia/

It's a 11 Meg download, but believe me, it's worth it! It allows you to view every star and known planet in our galaxy in full 3D. And on a real scale (not the highly compressed distances most space games use nowadays).

One thing I love to do is to zoom in on Earth, then zoom out until I have the whole galaxy in view... beautiful.

(warning: the galaxy does not, in fact, look anywhere near as brilliant as it should. That's the only flaw I've found so far to this program.)

He he, IxianMace, I've got Desktop Dreamscapes too. :)

I found out about Celestia from another forum, the Relic forum to be exact. (Relic = the creators of Homeworld) Everybody over there loves space. ;)
