Victory, The Last Stand Of The Humans

Well, run by me what you want in a plane.

Ok let' see. I'd prefer it if my aircraft had shielding, could fly in space, was quite fast and maneuverable, and had some weapons that didn't need reloading like laser or plasma cannons etc, etc. Bombs of course wouldn't be unlimited. Also, I don't like the idea of flying back to base to refuel frequently as well, so the aircraft should have some sort of advanced anti-gravity propulsion which means it isn't very noisy and doesn't require refueling. If you want anything changed, then let me know, otherwise this will be ok for me. :)

Sounds alright except for the space part considering I dont think theres gonna be any space battles for a long time, and make the bombs extremely limited, dont want a god plane here afterall.

The Blitz squad continued firing upon the copters, but were overpowered by the copter's missile attacks. The missiles were launched at the stone behind which the agents tried to take cover. One missile hit Damon's tank and it was set on fire.

Damon shouted, "Evacuate! This thing's gonna blow!". Robert and Alex exited the tank, running for the nearest cover. Damon lingered. He collected several rocket launchers and other weapons that were inside the tank.

He jumped out right before the blast, turning in the air and firing on the nearest copter with the rocket launcher.

There were still three copters left and the Blitz team suffered heavy losses - only about twenty of them sirvived. Afresh idea was needed and Damon was the master of them.

Damon turned around and blasted the tallest tower he could find which was near the helicopters. The cement of it fell right on the three copters, smashing them into the ground in one big explosion.

The Blitz team cheered. They have fought and won against a far advanced force and now they can complete their objective.

The team moved towards the main building. When they got there, Damon planted several thermal detonators near it and the team started to run towards the exit of the base.

Damon grinned one last time and pressed the button. Three awesome explosion waves hit the base, of increasing power. The territory was covered in dust and smoke.

When it was gone, the enemy base was no more.

Ok continuing story:

Mark Wilkonson sat in his XTF-220 anti gravity fighter. Fully equipped with plasma cannons for dealing with ground targets and rapid fire laser cannons for any potential air threats, this baby was also equipped with light shielding and the capability to carry 500-1000 pound bombs. The advanced propulsion system meant that the fighter never needed to refuel either, since fossil fuels had been phased out of service a long time ago, due to their overuse. Only two 1000 pound bombs could be contained in the bomb bay, which was comprised of two sections - a left and right section. Due to the weight, only four 500 pound bombs could be carried as an alternative (one 1000 pound bomb in the left and right sections of the bomb bay, or two 500 pound bombs in the left and right sections of the bomb bay.) Due to centre of gravity being very important in the propulsion and stability of the aircraft in flight, it was impossible to carry a combination of the two. This also meant that bombs had to be ripple salvo dropped, in order to keep the aircraft steady. (i.e. you must drop two 500 pound bombs at the same time or both 1000 pound bombs at the same time.) The bombs are completely unguided, so they depend upon CCIP (continuously calculated impact point) targeting to tell the pilot when to drop the bomb at his current altitude and airspeed so it will fall exactly on the target. There was also CCRP (continuosly calculated release point) targeting for releases at higher altitudes and longer ranges. This was for use with 'smart' bombs, which could home in on targets designated with lasers by ground forces. These smart bombs could be carried in the same way as 500 pound unguided bombs, but the warheads were only half as heavy as the 500 pound bombs, meaning they are less powerful, and only useful for taking out 'soft' specific targets like radar dishes and similar objects.

Mark Wilkonson sat in his XTF-220 thinking about the time of the outbreak of war, when his squadron (along with countless others) had been ordered into hostile territory to protect ground forces against enemy aircraft. A major air melee had ensued, and losses were very heavy on both sides. Mark happened to be one of the lucky few who survived the chaos. Aircraft were everywhere like angry wasps. Nowadays, he didn't hear much about the status of the ground units, and air command had seemed preoccupied lately. He was thinking about how much he wanted to get up and go to the lounge in the hangout area where all his mates used to go when they had nothing better to do, but thought against it. After all, he was still on alert standby. Anything could happen. If air command wanted something done quickly, he would have to do it. No other pilots were available at this stage. They were either all dead, or their aircraft were still under maintenance or waiting for spare parts.

'Want something done right, you just do it yourself' Mark thought. He chuckled. He lay back in his seat and relaxed. Perhaps the tower would call him to do something soon... For the moment, he sat in the cockpit of his fighter inside a bomb shelter at the main Rutisk airbase and waited.

The days had turned into nights and Stonens squad continued a fire fight with the enemy. They hid behind tall circle structures with windows streching everywhere, and they hid behind concrete slabs in the middle of the road. Suddenly a rumble shuck the earth as two giant tanks rolled down the road "holly........" Stonen mummbled. "How long we got Sargent?" he looked into his binoculers "4 minutes max sir" Stonen turned pale and ran for his radio "We need a air strick, cordinates 4 567 78, repeat in desperate need for air assitence, need air bombardment repear bombardment, someone respond!"

06:37 Tyur City

Shone leaves the house hurrying real fast, already dressed in the new, re-formed pixelated camies. He yells out behind him to his wife that he loves her, and gets into his jetblack hummer and drives off. Shone arrives at the base on the outskirts of the city at 0714 hours, 3 hours prior to debriefing. Going through the papers relaying the satellite images of the target city of the Huticks, Shone spills his coffee on the papers as the shrilling sound of the alarm goes on.

Over the P.A. system, "We are under attack. All personnel are to go to their stations and fend off the enemy. They have surrounded this base and have a formidable force. I repeat we are under attack."

Shone jumps out of his seat and runs down the hall to weapons check. He comes out of the room, fully-loaded with the M98 and fully-dressed guille suit. He makes his way to the garrison stations and prepares to fight the enemy.

0721 Outskirts of Tyur City

Jackson wakes up in his rack, in a stupor only mistaken as drunk. He quickly regains control as he makes his way to the bathrooms and steps into the showers. He walks out of the rackroom fully-dressed, and walks to the conference room, prepping for debrief. He slunks in immediate actualization of the meetings ahead today, but straightens up as two privates walk by.

Jackson arrives in the conference room, and two officers stopped chatting and twirl around in the satin black chairs. Jackson snaps to attention, and just as the officers stand up to receive the salute, the alarms blare through the P.A. system.

2 minutes later Jackson runs out of the room and heads straight to weapons check and grabs his gear. As he readies his weapon and runs for his station, he spots Shone already there, picking off enemies.

Suddenly he is thrown forward as two unguided missiles explode into the wall behind him, and personnel scramble from the smoke with shocked faces. Jackson looks back at them and continues to run with a sigh of relief, and arrives at his garrison.

gee vigil, aren't we the big hero. lol. what's that, 4 chopters? lol

The explosion rocked C Squadron as Blitz Team evacuated the premises. The small unit of a mere two ran out of the complex barely escaping the blazing inferno. Chalk had managed to take out 15 men with 17 bullets. Dom got 12 kills with 12 bullets. "Well, ya beat me again. You DO have the better accuracy." He laughed as a sigh of relief overwhelmed him.

"Yeah, but you still take the quicker shot." was Dom's reply. Either way the objective was successful. Blitz team had numerous casualties, but that was mainly due to Damon's hotheadedness. He laughed to himself as he remembered when got knocked out by him for spilling some milk on his shirt.

Falcon came out of the battle with minor injuries. Nothing a few days couldn't take care of. A shrapnel across the left shoulder and a few burns on his arms. He's be fine. Bick was a diferent story. He was dragged out of the inferno by Blitz after the assault. He had a serious injury to his lower chest and was suffering from internal bleeding. Chalk was shocked and utterly depressed by the news of his hurt comrade.

After telling of Bick's injury, Falcon spoke. "That son of a bitch... He took a bullet for me. that thing was heading for my head. I dropped down to the ground after an explosion. I was getting up and saw a shooter aim me up. Then comes Bick and takes the bullet in the chest."

"I'm sure he'll be just fine. We'll all go see em after we get back to rendevous point on Point Gamma at the top of the mountain. For now though, i think we should get out of here. They might send some extra forces soon." Blitz was aleady long gone by now and they carried Bick out on a strechter. Numerous other wounded and KIA's were carried out on a jeep they took from the base. C Squad started to withdraw when they heard something that filled them with fear. 2 Neopaches came up over the ridge and 3 PR-21 Stingers blew across the sky.

"Oh, SHIT!" was the agreed upon exclamation at this new arrival.

Then Falcon had an idea. "Wait, we still have the air support coming in. Radio Falors and ask him if it's still coming."

"Already done. He says he'll call them again now. it'll take a little while for them to get here. But for now, INTO THE TREES!"

They all ran into the snow covered forest and did their very best to escape the enemy. Chalk picked out a nice spot near nice tall tree and looked up through the scope of his rifle. One of the Neopaches was hovering above him and a little to the right. He pinpointed the rifle on the pilot's forehead and snapped the trigger. The glass shattered and the pilot was killed instantely. The craft went into a spin. It came down hard in a flaming ball of wreckage. They continued to run for their lives as fast as they could, but they each knew they could not do this for much longer.

"HQ, this is Falors of C Squad. We are requesting the immediate dispatch of air support."

A voice replied over the receiver. "Falors, this is HQ. Sending air support now."

*if there are any mistakes in this then sorry. it's late and i'm tired*

Kevin Poller peered out of the control tower at the lights of the airbase outside. He found it ironic how few aircraft were left, but the airbase was in perfect shape.

"When are those spare parts coming?" he thought to himself. Suddenly, the monitor in front of him started displaying strings of numbers. He watched intently. The monitor ran the string of numbers for a few more seconds, then flickered: Decoding encypted tranmission...

Message on screen:We need an air strike, co-ordinates 4 567 78, repeat in desperate need for air assistance, need bombardment, someone respond!

"Hmmm, that's odd. It's on the secure tranmission frequency channel, but whoever sent that message hasn't identified himself properly. No authentication." Kevin thought to himself. After a brief conversation with the head of the communications manager, Kevin sent an encrypted message along the same frequency to the source of whoever sent the previous message.

"Soldier, please authenticate verification code, alpha, alpha, zula, charlie delta. Identify yourself. What is your status? Over."

Kevin knew that the correct answer needed to be beta, beta, alpha, delta, epsilon, in that specific order for the code that he had asked verification for, followed by the name of the soldier requesting air assistance, and their rank and status. Anything different was likely to be an enemy that had somehow comprimised and tapped into the secure channel for air commmand used for communication between ground commanders and the main Rutisk airbase. After all, he couldn't risk sending out the one aircraft under his direct responsibility on an airstrike against his own forces could he?

"HQ, this is Falors of C Squad. We are requesting the immediate dispatch of air support."

A voice replied over the receiver. "Falors, this is HQ. Sending air support now."

The monitor lit up again with a string of numbers.

"Ok here we go" thought Kevin, as the numbers were automatically decrypted.

Message: "HQ, this is Falors of C Squad. We are requesting the immediate dispatch of air support."

"Stranger and stranger." Kevin thought to himself.

"Multiple requests for help all at the same time?"

Unsure of what to do, Kevin hit the alarm button on his console.

Inside the bomb shelter, red lights suddenly came on and started flashing. Sirens wailed with earblasting volume.

"S**t!!" Mark thought, as he powered up his XTF-220 (loaded with two 1000 pound bombs in the bomb bay.)

"I was just getting comfortable".

He taxied out to the tarmac as the canopy of his fighter sealed shut. The anti gravity engines fired up and he blasted off into the night sky, with barely a sound.

"Mark, be careful out there, things are a little weird tonight. I think someone may have comprimised the secure channel. Ignore all other tranmissions except this one. I'll give you further instructions when you reach your co-ordinates, which I'm uploading to your navigation computer now. Understand?"

"Ok copy control" Mark replied. He watched as his navigation computer ran a series of tests, then marked his flight path to his destination. The nightvision display allowed Mark to see the terrain clearly, and he was soon on his way at full speed, flying at 10,000 ft above ground level.

0903 Tyur Base

The battle was quick, but bloody. The heavy artillery wiped out the first three waves, and the pyrosoldiers mopped up the rest, with the snipers' aid. Satellies recorded the whole battle, and verified that there were no more enemies. This was as if it was a training scenario.

0925 Conference Room

"We've gone over the photos, and it is clear our 2nd patrol is lacking optimal range sensors and is 5 men less of our average station. This is not tolerated and will never happen again!" bellowed the bulky general.

"But in other important issues, there is a lack of ranged rifleman in the city in Sector 2b, and we were called in to provide the men. If we have one that is as great a marksman as many, we only need to spare one." informed the general, in a more calm fashion.

Immediately the officer to the right of the general spoke up, "Shone."

"I repeat, this is Falors of C Squad. Requesting immedi...oh shit! fuck! agh............"

A Stinger came in low and fired one of two SRAIM (Short Range Anti Infantry Missle). It exploded in a small blast and pointed pellets sped out in every direction. Falors was hit three times in the head and 8 times in the chest and twice in the legs, instantely killed.

"Falors Respond!"

"..."

"Falors!!"

Inside the control tower, Kevin was bewildered. Multiple requests for help all at the same time, no authentication from either of them? He thought quickly. Then he groaned. He spoke quickly into his mic to Mark:

"Mark, change course. Turn left 30 degree, descend to 5000 feet. Turn your lights off, turn everything off except your nightvision and all the basic things you need to fly in the dark. I want you turn the infrared sensors on after you do this. It sounds like someone is taking serious damage, so we're going to have to work quickly here. If it's the enemy, then good, he should be an easy kill. If it's our boys out there, then we'll to make sure that it's them before you drop anything. Once you have some targets, zoom in on them with your nightscope and visually identify them. Yes, I said visually!! I'm sorry but it's the only way right now. It's not my fault if the ground commanders forgot to verify... Yes I know it's unfortunate. No I'm not responsible for them f**king things up when they should know better!! Alright just make sure you visually ID them and take the necessary actions... Yes you have permission to fire upon ID of enemy forces. Ok, this is Rutisk tower out.

Mark Wilkinson pointed the nose of his fighter directly at the ground and leveled up at 5000 feet. He estimated that at this speed and altitude, he'd arrive at his destination in approximately 3 minutes. There was no way he could go any faster, with such short notice what difference would it have made anyway he thought? He continued flying.

"I hope it's not our people that are in trouble out there" he thought.

"If it is, then heads are going to roll, and it's not going to be mine". He continued flying...

(OOC: Don't mind having another pilot?)

Luster was the only one that survived. The squad had flew from the north of Tyur but was intercepted on the way. Their mission was to airlift spare parts to Tyur Airbase but the C-310s were all down, along with the other 2 escorting Xu-43s.

"Fenrir 13 calling Tyur Airbase! Do you read me?"

Damon saw the stingers coming and commanded his squad to take cover in the nearby ditch.

The soldiers mobilized and took out their rocket launchers. They tried to bring the enemy down but they were just too fast.

A stinger hit the ditch and turned several Blitz soldiers into a pile of bloody pulp.

Damon couldn't stand this any longer. Grabbing two assault rifles for both of his hands he jumped out of the ditch, shouting in agner and desperation and shooting at the cabins of the attackers.

After what seemed like an eternity, Mark arrived at his waypoint 10 seconds early. Lowering his XTF-220 to 200 feet above ground level, it would be almost impossible for anyone to detect his aircraft while he had all his lights off and was barely making any noise. He activated his infrared sensors and looked at the display. A cluster of heat seemed to be behind some rocks just up ahead, along with some fast moving very hot objects that were moving erratically. Mark targeted the fast moving erratic hot object on his infrared display, then slaved the visual high definition zoom lense to his infrared target. He checked the display monitor that was receiving feedback from the zoom lens.

"Let's see, what do we have here?" Mark asked himself, as he peered at the high resolution display. Mark took a few more seconds to peer at the display, blinked, and looked again. No doubt the aircraft resembled a Neopache gunship, with enemy markings. Mark wasted no more time. He flicked some switches on his console and hovered up to about 800 feet. Mark watched closely as the Neopache moved slowly into his targeting reticle. He squeezed the trigger. The laser cannons on the wings of his XTF-220 lit up, illuminating the surrounding area for a few seconds as they fired bursts of deadly laser beams, which were heading on a direct collision course with the Neopache. Mark did not stop to admire the ball of fire that the Neopache became, as the laser beams shredded through it's thin armor. He began scanning the surrounding area for movement and heat, filtering out the clutter from the destroyed Neopache gunship. He found more heat behind some rocks, and zoomed in on the rocks with his high resolution scope. Mark moved his fighter slightly to the side, in order to reveal what was behind the rocks. His finger tensed on the trigger, as the rocks moved aside from his field of view...

Soon Luster had reached the outskirt of Tyur...

"Fenrir 13 calling Tyur Airbase! Do you read me?"

Still no response. Luster could now see Tyur. Smoke is rising from the city and explosion could be seen frequently. As Luster closes Tyur he sees the wreckage of a fighter, one of the Rutisk's, still buring in flames. Seeing it as a sign of possible hotility, Luster decides to lift up to 15,000 feet and approach Tyur.

Mid-Afternoon Battle Area

Shone and Jackson arrived in the city, ablaze with muzzle flashes and explosive shrapnel. They went into a hotel facing a main street, and set up on the second floor.

While in position, Jackson murmured to his partner, "They are moving back. Our own men are moving back."

Mid-Afternoon Battle Area

Shone found two enemies in his scope, but that's all he could take before heading out right after he arrived. He met up with the retreating squad and requested a debriefing.

Luster is now over Tyur, and there is still no reply from the airbase. He decided to decend to 1400 feet and head towards the airbase to check it out. As he flew he saw a squad retreating, with 2 tanks and another squad on it's tail. They sure need air-support, but he couldn't identify which squad is of the Rutisk's as he was on night-vision. Luster then flipped a few switches on the controls...

"That squad down there! Identify yourself!"
