Dungeon Siege

Right, I started this thread for two reasons. Firstly to determine what everyone else thinks of the game, and secondly to ask how to play over a network. I.e. how to set it up. I'd play online, but 1) I don't know how to do that either. and 2) The computer with the game is mine, and the computer with the internet is not.

Any ideas?

The computer with the game is mine, and the computer with the internet is not.

I suggest you get A Hub/Router or a switch to get the internet on all comps. It doesn't cost very much, Hub is about 20$(us) these days.

I haven't played dungeon siege (Yet) But i hear it's very cool and Has a good gameplay.

i have it.. the graphix are awesome...

but other than that.. the game bores quickly... it was a nice try.. the story isn't too involving.. music is ok.. action looks nice... framerate looks bad but the level design is pretty good

but I prefer Diablo2

I pretty much agree with Terror. Game play is okay, graphics are pretty good (I still believe nothing beats Serious Sam: 2nd encounter graphics wise :)). There is some sort of a story line, but like Terror stated, it get's boring pretty soon. I'm a Diablo fan, if not the biggest, so maybe I should give it more chance.

The bad thing about the game is that it does everything for you. You just have to click.

Right, how can you increase levels when the game is finished? And...

What on earth is the second CD for? It does absolutely nothing!

A) I never got that far, just played for a few and lost interest..

B) I can't find the CD case to look for you what it says :-

I absolutely loved Dungeon Siege. I dropped Emperor for a couple of months while I played through DS. Great game and incredible graphics. Monsters are very good. Story a lot of fun. Sound effects are superb. Creepy stuff made me jump quite a few times. Well worth the money for anyone considering it. I'll buy Dungeon Siege 2 if they make it.

Yeah I thought DS was worth its money too. I havent finished it yet because a lot of good mods came out, like the lightsaber one, and I had to start over. They were doing a total conversion of DS to Crimson Dawn a star wars mod based on the light saber one.

well that's obviously easy.. the second cd is for part 2 of the game...

I've finished the game. The second CD isn't needed for it at all.

It is actually possible to start a network game on only one computer with only one player (pointless? Yes, I think it is). And for that you just need the 1st CD. Now you see why I'm so annoyed.

(lol, I accidently wrote annoyING first time rather than annoyed. Oops.)

I just started Dungeon Siege becos I finished Icewind Dale two days. Graphics good, but it seems more like an action game. And I don't think the storyline is anything great. At least nothing compared to Icewind Dale. I hope it will become more interesting later.

BTW, who also thinks that Icewind is a superb RPG?

The story is weak and the gameplay worse but it has inovation and good graphics in favour.

I don't know what the second CD is for. That's why I'm asking.

I loved the game a lot, and deserted it for a long time, still a great game, just haven't had time for games nowadays. Anywho, sure as heck worth the cash, and the requirments are VERY low which opens the doors for many new gamers.
