I agree with Earthnuker. Generals will undoubtedly share a flaw with every other C&C Game. One, it will never be patched to completion, and two, it will be easy to win or lose to a tank rush.

lol I want it! it will be great. You guys have a problem with high expectations. They are just games. Live in reality! unless you have some sort of virtual reality that makes the world into an odd gumdrop that tastes great and you can eat the gumdrop...lol ahh I love freaking people out ;)

There are plenty of good strat games. You don't need C&C to live dude. Since I don't want to brag on about Earth 2150 being the greatest game ever I'll just suffice by saying C&C Ra2 was the worst ever.

nah, i don't agree with that

Westwood games do have a nice thing, action is very quick and the atmosphere is usually realy nice.

And RA2 is IMO about as good as emperor. worse graphix, but the fun thing is: the commies are back! and they produced hell march 2. which doesn't need any explanation :)

I still like TMP better- not just for the gameplay, but also for the dark & gloomy atmosphere :)

And the Soviets were better in Ra. The whole storyline of Ra2 was cheesy, and YR was uber cheesy.

Ra2 should have been 3d- a lot of other companies went 3d before they did.

Soviets better in RA? perhaps, that's something you can argue about. but it depends on the map i guess. On water the allies have a serious advantage. And in RA:Aftermath the mechanic was an uber guy. he could repair tanks faster than i could blink

RA2's storyline wasn't too great, Yuri is a nerd and in YR he is an ubernerd. but the fact is. RA2 is not for serious guys, RA2 is for fun!

Anyhow, this game Will ROCK, it's Kickass tank battle, like emp.

well, don't tell me TMP is that realistic :) TMP does lack infantry though :-/

but it's TA Kingdoms all the way anyway 8)

Never got into TA, little late now anyway.

TMP isn't all that realistic, but it is plausible SF. That's a whole difference with cheesy units such as house large tanks that run over other tanks.

Hate to brag on to much about TMP, but there is one thing it is most definitely better in then C&C. The way units differ from other factions units- meaning looks. The ED tanks look raw and cold war-like :).

UCS mechs look industrial, sluggish (and ugly ;D )

LC hovercraft look hyper modern.

In Ra2, however, this concept was apperently totally overlooked. One thing I want to see in any RTS is a huge difference between the factions. Emperor succeeded well in this, so did Starcraft and WCIII.

Earth2150 is antiquated. Some games are timeless. I have earth2150 and agree its AWESOME. It just isnt ground breaking though. It was one of the first earth based 3d rts games but it still had its annoying qualities. It didnt grab me like some games.

Earth 2150 was IMHO revolutionary, and the sequal The Moon Project (TMP) cleared out most of the things that I didn't like in Earth 2150. The new music tracks were some of the best I've ever heard.

Could you specify what annoyed you in particular?

Earth 2150 was great, but it didn't get much attention, or it was me who did not see it. RA2 somehow screwed the whole C&C storyline. I think the whole RA idea was bad, because it ruined the Tiberian series, which are one of the best original RTS with a story that gets you hooked. For example: We know that the United Nations created GDI as the final solution of monitoring terrorism, and countering it. But how could the UN exists if the Soviets invaded Europe in RA1, and how did they have time, if you count the expansion packs and RA2 + YR. Besides that, the technology is far to modern for RA1 and 2. I mean, Einstein went back to 1924, and killed Hitler. He came back to 1947, and discovered that the Soviets were in the move. Okay, so maybe Stalin waited some time, say maximum for two years, 1949-50. I would say 1948 even. Tesla Towers? Iron Curtain? Hell, the atomic bomb was just discovered 2 years ago, how the hell could the Soviets construct a sentry which can cast lightning bolts in a certain direction? And if you count the time between RA1 and 2, well, I would say 10 years. Come on! Mind Control? Weather Machine? The whole story is just lacking. Sure, if the made a parallel universe, and with no links to the Tiberian series, it would solve the "problem". And now they are making Generals instead of Tiberian Twilight? Hell, I want to see how the Tiberian series ends! As ususal we will have to wait another 20 years, like StarCraft 2, for the whole story to be completed. What a shame. In the meantime, I'll play StarCraft, Iron Storm, and Natural Selection. Anyone looking for me, I'm: "Dr_Dominator" in SC, "Dude_Doc" in NS and IS.

I guess its a personal thing. I mean I can see why it is amazing. so much upgrading and the story is great for many. A bunch of other good stuff. I just got bored of it. dunno why.lol

Personally I think the upgrading and researching new stuff was the greatest of all. The AIs are better then Emperor AIs, especially the mod AIs. But sometimes I get a little tired of all the complicated stuff. I'd play Emperor more often but sadly there aren't many people around at WOL anymore and the AI sucks.

very true. just a personal opinion about it. It is a wonderful game though. I dont like emperor at all though. I actually loved RA 2 and Tiberian sun. Emperor though was just lacking. in my opinion
