Game Review: Max Payne

ok, this is about MP. i saw AL's thread so i decide to make one about MP.

Storyline-Very good. it is kind of cheesy, and sometimes predictable, but the graphic novels(cartoons) add a atmosphere to the game.

Graphics-State of the Art. the engine is great, and kind of easy to mod. making new mpas is anything but simple, though. the graphics are GREAT if you have the system to run it.

System Requirements-Very,Very steep. higher than emp, slightly lower than UT2k3

Sound-Lifelike sounds, realistic death sounds.

Replay Value-Many levels of difficulty. You can mod the game and play the whole thing over again.

Gameplay-Many controls, and Bullettime, slows things down like the matrix. Shootdodging in bullettime is uber as its like the matrix.

Overall-Doesnt support multiplayer, and steep system requirements. everything else is good though

totally right, but the system req's aren't too bad, it worked fine on my 1,33 ghz + GF2 gts 32 mb and it works perfect on the same comp but with a GF 4 ti4200 128 mb

Max Payne IS the best action game I have ever played. I played it over and over for 2 months without getting bored, while some of the other games bored me in a few weeks or even days.

yeah, go to www.maxpayneheadquarters.com to check out some very cool mods, but some mods are quite big. i recomend True Matrix 1.6, Katana Mod (like a horror movie, i warned you!!) and Max Powers (if its out yet, and when it is, it will be a new game). and btw, you can play the whole game over with mods.

i have to agree. but once u've completed the singleplayer levels (it's very long!!!! trust me! you have to!), you'll be bored with it.

It has no multiplayer support (that's what i know from research)

It's awesome; New maps and like 30 new Weapons. And like ethan said: It will be a new game.

Try the KungFu mod, kicks (pun unintended) butt.

kenneth yeung (maker of Kungfu) started it all. kungfu3.0 is coming out with stick fighting and all kinds of stuff. most mods are built around KungFu. that Matrix 1.6 guy, he ripped stuff (as iwas told by the guys that run it) from other mods, and only made like 5 weapons and 1 or 2 levels. Max Match 2.0, it is like multiplayre, and has arenas and music and stuff and is supercool.
