New Guy with question

Sup all i've recently put down my inferior Total Annihilation for good this time and decided to come back to Emperor, I was wondering though.. are there any modern war mods for Emperor yet, i'm into the F22's, Apache's and other modern type weaponry like the MLRS systems.

I've notice that some of the modern RTS games out now can't touch Emp in the graphics department, not even the newer RealWar title so this is why I wanted to see some modern fighting on this engine, it should be sweet looking, not only that but the infantry structure would make a good feature also... please don't say check out Generals for modern warfare, i'm 100% shady when it comes to anything with the C&C tag attached to it, if they like milking so much that gang should retire from the gaming industry and buy a farm, yes the game looks good but looks alone don't make a game, at least in my eyes... and with that said that's why i'm looking for a kick-ass mod for Emperor... any help?

You can go to the Dune Editing forum and post it there, you're bound to get replies of some of the best emperor modders :)

Once I had the idea about making a modern-fighting mod... never made it though.

A mod can be made, though existing units have to be used (for instance the F-22 will be very much like the atr air drone and there will be no apaches unless adrian makes another miracle).

It's a good idea but not many are interested, well if Generals isn't up to standards i'm going to have to get my hands dirty in Emp.

I think it might just be possible to make a helicopter, but it'd involve completely changing all the meshes of the... HKADP (would be best) - find the parts of it that rotate, and use them.

Now if you want to make Emperor more like modern combat games, why don't you just get a modern combat game.

Good suggestion by Inoculator. Have you seen Conflict Zone? Full 3d, awesome graphics. It is supposed to take place in a few years from now but there are no fictitious units-the time only affects the storyline (there is no UN anymore etc).

However, if Nema goes in all that trouble to make the helicopter, I 'll more than happily make a mod :)

There are plenty of great modern combat games, but if anyone is really going to go to the trouble to make a mod I'll help.
