Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there going to be a Starcraft 2?

There are some rumors about the creation of part two, that will have the same engine as Warcraft 3.

If so? What are your thoughts about it?

There WILL BE a starcraft 2. When? Nobody knows (probably not for at least 3 years). Will it use the same engine as warcraft III? Highly unlikely. In the mean time play ut2k3 ;D

They said "we will revisit SC on the PC one time". That doesn't mean it will be a RTS- maybe just a PC version of Ghost :-.

no, in an interview bill roper said starcraft 2 will be a RTS for pc. he didn't say if it was currently in development though

That would be fun, just imagine that.

Running around with a zergling class or spitting spines at Marines and watch them splat.

Protoss Zealots with destructive Psi blades, or a Dragoon.

And if you're a Marine, and "if" you get too close to the creep on the ground, you will become incorporated into the Zerg. "Infested Marines "

a tactical shooter, that's right... starcraft: ghost, as the name suggests you can only play as a ghost, called Nova and it is console only :'(

And they figured no one would want it and it would go away. So, nearly 5 million copies and the second best-selling RTS of all time later, they do what? Set it aside and ignore eternally. StarCraft is an aside. Why do you think Blizzard is doing nothing but count money on SC:G? Because they have WarCraft games to do!

PS: Blizzard IMMEDIATELY said that Bill was mistaken, and that they currently have no plans for an SC2.

Blizzard has OTHER projects such as pacching Wc3 and making their MMORPG. They cant just waste millions of dollars to stop what their doing and center on starcraft. Once they release their MMORPG, they'll work of sc2. Hell, their working on it NOW ! Their drawing up sketches and storyboard, a slow, slow process, it'll be atleast 2-3 years before they finish.

Dude Leto, they say they don't have any plans to make a sequel. That doesn't mean there won't be any. Besides, they could always make a remake of the original.

But will they? Ask yourself, WILL THEY? They haven't done squat yet, 4 games and 5 years AFTER the release of SC.

(I refuse to admit that Blizzard is doing SC: Ghost, but I guess that's moot, since it will be a cr*ppy anime-style console-only game anyways.)

well, it seems like you don't know a lot about blizzard because the FAQ only shows things that are currently going on... No they don't know much about SC2 yet but believe me.... if bill roper says this it's true...
