Ixian Refinery

I am working on a mod, and I need one of the houses to have an ixian refinery, however, it would not be fair since that one don't have any upgrade.

so how do I make upgrade for the ixian refinery?

or if that is not possible how could i make it fair for the house with it?

if u replace the say atreides refinery with the ixian refinery by changing its xbf in the artini then the refinery will look Ixian and be upgradeable. Altho the xbf wont change when u upgrade it the harvesters will still unload spice into the non-existant side ports

Don't you change the (Xaf =) part of the Atreides refinery and replace it with "IX_refinery"? I succuessfully substituted the Ixian refinery for the Atreides refinery when I first tried, but I still could not manage to get the Ixian refinery by itself for construction. It also appears that you can't sell the Ixian refinery either. ???

it may take bigger modifications than just the rules and artini file.

hm, well I don't understand how to do it. I do not know what XAF is either ???

but it was meant for House Ordos, so could anyone tell me what to do_?

orelse I will just have to use the Guild Refinery as I first did. that one can be built on sand so that makes up for the upgrade

Go to the file artlni and find the Ordos Refinery. Xaf is a line under the title of the building. It will say AT_Refinery change this to IX_Refinery.

No I tried that before, and it didn't work. the ordos refinery will then be buildable again, and the ixian won't.

SO I'll stick to the guild refinery I think :)

Very fun to add to the wormy's. Decimate your base fast if you increase their frequancy.
