If you are from Australia, you have a once in a lifetime opportunity in just over 2 months. A total eclipse of the sun will be visible near Ceduna off the coast at sunset. Think with me here guys, imagine this. A total eclipse of the sun WHILE (and before) the sun sets. Imagine how awesome that would look to see a brightly colored sky as you stand on a beach facing the vast ocean and then the sun gets blotted out, and then re-appears to color the sky again before it sets beneath the horizon. Trust me when I tell you that you may not ever get a chance to see this again. If I was anywhere near 1000 miles from this location, I would be jumping in my car and going there without hesitation to see this masterpiece of our solar system. There is no way I would miss this if I was in Australia. Dont let this pass you up. I'm telling you these things do not come around very often. Take your girlfriend / wife / bestfriend, anyone. You will never forget it.

dont worry my friend. you and I get our chance in Jul 22, 2009. The longest solar eclipse for almost 200 years will occur. This is going to be HUGE. Most definately once in a lifetime. To see it in its totality, you must be on the CENTERLINE on the following map on Jul 22, 2009. We wont be able to see the one at sunset in Australia, but this one will make up for it simply cuz its the longest one you will see until 2186!! I will be in Shanghai China to see it. Don't miss this one!.
