Mad Rhetoric Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 1.Churn out some fremen snipers, and place them near a building that is near the barracks.Every time an infantry unit comes out,DIE!Note:Scatter 3 of them around,so that if one sniper is killed, the other to can keep doing their work.2.Make some Feds, and put them near an enemy spice field.Place about 2 or 3 Feds at every spice field an enemy harvie goes to.Every time a harvester comes,Boom!3.A big group of Feds can really do some damage.Put them into one bunch, and then stage hit-n-run attacks on enemy structures. You could really cripple the enemy this way. ;)4.Projecting snipers and Feds is an awsome way to really annoy the enemy.Just make like a giant group of snipers and feds, and POW!The enemy will really get pissed at you. ;D5.Make a big group of Sards and Fremen.Use the sards to make a frontal assault on the enemy,to make a diversion, and then do a stab-in-the-back kill with the Fremen from behind.*Gets evil grin on face*Projecting these would be almost total ultimate power.
ethan Posted September 17, 2002 Posted September 17, 2002 1. by the time you have fremen, the other guys have inkvines, minos, or kobras, which chew up fremen easily.2. the enemy harvesters can run over feds if there is only 2 or 3 before its dead.3. again, minos, inkvines, and kobras will chew em up. and they do splash damage which will make 4 or 5 dissapear at once. also, scouts will make them dissapear.4. read # 3.5. read # 3 again. using sards as a diversion is too expensive. use scouts if you have to.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 17, 2002 Posted September 17, 2002 Lemme tell you, if you rely on Fremens too much, scouts would be your worst enemy.
ethan Posted September 17, 2002 Posted September 17, 2002 scouts+inkvines, flametanks, kobras, chemicals, lightinf, flameinf, minos. any anti infintry will do the trick, but use in groups of 10.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 17, 2002 Posted September 17, 2002 i'll doubt you'll need 10 minotaurus and even in the worst case.
ethan Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 i meant like atr snipers, light inf, chemical inf, stuff like that. not minos & inkvines & sonics (anti everything).
graveside Posted September 22, 2002 Posted September 22, 2002 its easier just to make a few worms near there harvies instead just keep an eye on them or they'll kill u aswell.
Devastator_Mech Posted September 22, 2002 Posted September 22, 2002 Worms, if your enemy sees a worm coming, the harey would already been evacuated.I'll doubt even 10 Chemical Trooper or Light Infantries could kill 3 or 4 Fredaykins.
Baronvonflames Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 did any one ever think 10 buzzsaws? they can fire on the move and if you send them at the back of the group of fremen it works
Devastator_Mech Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 At the back? You could see the Fremens? But you could use a group of Buzzsaws to run over them if you know approximately where there are.
Timenn Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 Well, Buzzsaws aren't strong against the Sound Waves of the Fedaykin, they can defend themselves very well. But you shouldn't attack or confront Buzzsaws, the losses will be too high at the Fremen side
Baronvonflames Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 At the back? You could see the Fremens? But you could use a group of Buzzsaws to run over them if you know approximately where there are.Yes, thats what i meant
Devastator_Mech Posted September 28, 2002 Posted September 28, 2002 Well, Buzzsaws aren't strong against the Sound Waves of the Fedaykin, they can defend themselves very well. But you shouldn't attack or confront Buzzsaws, the losses will be too high at the Fremen sideIts waste to kill buzzsaws with fremens, they have the potential to kill even much stronger vehicles.
Timenn Posted October 1, 2002 Posted October 1, 2002 Like I said. I was just stating that it was POSSIBLE to defeat a stack of Buzzsaws
Devastator_Mech Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 I never doubted this point, but they usually get damaged or get squashed when you do so, so using using other vehicle to destroy it is recommended and reserve the fredaykins for the "big guns"
Timenn Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 Yes, I said that they aren't effective. But we shouldn't argue about a point we both agree with...
TLContaminator Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 take 6 feds and 5 snipers and go to the enemy spice field and with one fed deploy and the others will protect them
Devastator_Mech Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 Well im sure the Fredaykins has the potential in killing units which worths more than themselves, but im they won't last very long at all once your opponent knows there's cloaked units near by.
Timenn Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 One of the best things you can do with Fedaykins is wormriding...And don't forget to build Fremen Warriors, they are very good against Fedaykin!
Devastator_Mech Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Well worm-riding isn't a reliable capablity because you don't know when would it come up.
TLContaminator Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 well you can do it when their far and advance to em
Devastator_Mech Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 The matter of fact is, if you deploy it too early, by the time you need it, the worm-ride is over. If you do it later, you might be too late. All this problem is because you never know when will the worm would be summoned.
Timenn Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Well, where I use the worms for, I have all the time of the world (not lit. :))
Baronvonflames Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 also, sometimes the worm wont listen to your commands (i've had this happen to me plenty of times before)
Devastator_Mech Posted October 5, 2002 Posted October 5, 2002 Its not hard at all, just order them in large step, they don't like to go in small steps.Press it a few more times and its fully under your control soon.
