Could this website be expanded?

I know, this is a LOOONG shot, but I was wondering if this site could be expanded to include LOTR? I think most of us are also great fans of that series. And this website is such a great site. I know that the current staff would be overloaded, so you just get some more staff.

Ok, its a long shot, but darn it would be so cool to have this site expanded, simply because Gob and company do such a great job, and the site is so cool.

Just the fact that people are talking about stuff is cool. I am very glad this board has a general forum. Thats what makes this website so great, is that there is a place for everything. Including LOTR. Including your whiny demands.

in all of my whines, not once did I hang a "off topic" carrot over anyone's head. Especially in the GENERAL forum. And if I want to use ALL CAPS to emphasize a phrase, it is totally valid. If a board admin prefers I use the <b> switch fine, I'll do that, but that would get pretty nitpicky for just capitalizing a single word or a single phrase. Put simply, board admins are good enough to do their jobs without "hall monitors" like grpyhon brown nosing them by saying crap like "I smell a locked thread, yada yada" I think board admins know whats proper. If i disobey a rule, I'll take correction from an admin. Not from gryphon

The actual content side of the site will not be expanded to cover anything but Dune. But I don't mind people talking about other things in the General forum as long as it doesn't get out of control like what happened with Warcraft III a number of weeks ago.

I didn't say you'r violationg any rules, nor that you are not allowed to discuss whatever you like to expand this site to. Just my opinion as a regular memeber on this site, as you asked the question to the members. Not IM'ing it to Gobalopper.

vaguely i remember, but to be honest, I discuss religion, science and philosophy so much in the newsgroups, any particular thread in the past does not stand out. I have been talking about such things for 13 years so to be honest, I have only a vague inkling that such a conversation took place. Of course, I do not deny it because I am always talking about and studying that sort of thing.

Typical brown-noser will come into a post and post something to the effect of

And thats the only thing they say. They actually go out of their way to create a new post just to try and "encourage" an admin to do his/her job. I seen it a million times. Ever hear of "hall monitors" in school? If not, ask some people what a hall monitor is.

Think it's the same thing as we call "drogreden" over here.

But then, that doesn't have to be a valid answer. Just an excuse or reflection to the origional question would be sufficient to in able to answer the question.

I don't have to ask what a hall monitor is. But where I live however we have no need for those positions.
