Baronvonflames
For each main house, there is a good antiworm unit. for the harkonnen it is the flame tank, sonic tanks for atreides, and for ordos the laser tank. if each unit is used right, the worm will submerge and hopefully wont get to your harvesters. DjCiD
i find that infantry work best on worms and they rank up quicker too.
Devastator_Mech
All anti-infantry units are effective against the worm.
IxianMace
Sometimes worms can't be stopped. Ever had a worm pop up right under a unit and kill it instantly and then submerge without moving a bit?
Devastator_Mech
Thats very very very rare, i know what your talking about. When it does that, it could even kill an aerial units above it too.....!!
IxianMace
Provided that those air units are sitting on the ground and not airbourne, then yes. Unless the worm is a big vertical worm that pops straight up out of the sand after the electrical mouth outline appears, then everything (air or ground) in the radius of the mouth will be destroyed, including normal carryalls with or without harvesters. Devastator_Mech
exactly, and when it does that, you can't attack it......
IxianMace
Well you can 'attack' it but that won't help to force it back under the sand. However shooting vertical worms is a good way to get chevrons for units, especialy Chemical Troopers and Flame Tanks. Fremen Warriors and Fedaykin also benefit when shooting vertical worms as well, due to their high rate of fire.
Devastator_Mech
I'll doubt you could kill it in-time, and even if you manage to kill it, your units inside the worms diameter is already dead......
Edric O
You CAN'T kill it. The vertical worm is invulnerable. But your units can get experience by just shooting at it... strange.
nemafakei
No, no, even though the worm has eaten them, the unit is still there - but with no armour left. Therefore, each shot kills it again. So missile tanks and Minos get lots of experience from shooting the contents of the worm.
IxianMace
If the units that have been eaten by the worm have no armour left, then they should give chevrons for every single shot that the worm takes right? How come units don't always get chevrons for each shot they fire then?
Devastator_Mech
Thats why i said you can't attack it(meaning kill it)Maybe their isn't enough units inside.
