Im currently working on a new mod that will be called Guild Wars.

The basic idea is that there will no longer be three main houses and

in effect there will just be 1 default house that is chosen.

The changes come mainly to the Subhouse which will remain the same in

theme and ethos (corrino, Guild, Fremen, IX and Tleilaxu).

However instead of the customary 2 houses that are taken in the game

the player will take only 1. Each of these subhouses shall be roughly the size of each of the original 3 main houses (or at least considerably larger than they

are currently). This will provide more variety in playing styles and strategies

especially if the player does choose 2 subhouses as they will have 2 complete

armies at their disposal.

Any help (especially with textures) would be greatly appreciated

as would any original ideas (cos ive run out)

The units that ive made so far are as follows.... (hope anyones actually interested)

Fremen Heavy Weirding trooper-

Cloaked uses kindjal XBF but fires ATsonictankgun when deployed

Fremen Avenger - OK the name is bad- fires a weapon that either injects a serum into troops making them very open to suggestion or if the target is a vehicle then uses nano machines to control it - Cloaked

Fremen Worm God -

Looks like guild maker and uses similar weapon but is much faster firing.

Fremen Rocket Warrior -

Fremen AA guy

Imperial Bashar - sardaukar machine gun and knife- v tough and fast

Imperial Caid -

The most powerful unit thus far- armed with a rapid firing explosive weapon which is effective against most units. Cloaked and VERY tough and quite fast. Slow and very expensive to build.

Imperial Tank - enabled

Imperial Reaper -

like the dust scout but more heavily armoured and more expensive. The weapon is weaker but has an almost constant rate of fire.

Imperial Annihilation Trooper -

Plasma trooper.

Ixian Explosive Sniper -

like it says - explosive sniper effective against most units. Quite expensive and pretty weak

Ixian Subterranean Tank -

Buzzsaw that goes under the sand. Expensive and still buzzsaw like in its armour and guns.

Ixian Mauler -

Secretly developed trooper that treads a thin line in regards to the great convention and the laws against thinking machines. It is basically a cyborg equipped with a lasgun and a shield. it cannot be crushed. it can be repaired by the repair vehicle.

Ixian Missile Quad APC -

Smuggler quad armed with a fast firing rocket launcher with startling range. Doubles as an APC

Tleilaxu Ghola -

Incredibly weak but deadly in large numbers. very cheap and fast to build armed with a light machine gun.

Tleilaxu Duncan Idaho Ghola -

Armed with a small machine gun and a knife

Tleilaxu Gurney Halleck Ghola -

Armed with a slow reloading rocket launcher

Tleilaxu Eradicator -

a sheilded tank that fires long range gas canisters. deadly against infantry

Tleilaxu Face Dancer Assassin -

Armed only with a knife and cloaking abilities these fast warriors are deadly in close combat

Guild Striker Tank -

NIAB tank with almost instant recovery time from teleportation. A much faster firing but weaker weapon and lighter armour

Guild Wave Shifter -

Powerful trooper with a sonictankgun

Guild Wave Lord -

Very powerful trooper armed with a fast firing sonictank gun and heavy armour.

Guild Cannon Infantry -

Trooper armed with a shoulder mounted cannon that has advantages over rocket launchers in that it is instant hit and that it does more damage to infantry. However it is slower moving.

wow...alot of troops....did u unlock ne of the buildings?and they need sum turrets in there...give meeh sum ideas of whut ur lookin for.i was thinkin sum hover vehicles.. can crush...I'm be able to edit sum units from each house and give then to sum of the subhouses...but making only 1 major house and eradicating the others is up to u...also i'm good with buildings...but were gonna need sum1 else for textures....hmmm

Ixian Subterranean Tank -

How do u make subterranean unit

no im afraid tour wrong , jacob

when told to attack it the units just run around aimlessly near to it

however the buzzsaw can still attack units and when Subter has a range of 0 (has to be right under it)

im not gonna post what ive done thus far yet as i still need to sort out a few critical bugs.

The buzzsaw is now gonna have 2 rapid fire lasguns

im gonna make a Kobra lookin thing that fires death hand looking missiles (if i can)

Imperial Reaper is now gonna be tleilaxu reaper alongh with many other "breeds" of spider tanks that are yet to be decided on

Im gonna make a missile tank w/ inkvine warheads

ill make the machine guns much faster firing so its more realistic (but obviously theyll do less damage

id imagine that the mongoose would be corrino and that the minotaurus would be guild as i wish to keep niabing as their special ability

ive changed the buzzsaws weapons and it looks most cool

the piecemaker is still having... difficulties :(

the fremen will get the normal atreifes APC

I've been working on Guild Wars since its outset, along with Apollyon, and I am proud to announce the next group of units is now functioning.

Guild Lightning Mortar - like an ordos mortar, but more powerful and expensive, with a bomb that releases lightning

Guild Advanced Lightning Mortar - Like above only even more powerful and expensive (duh)

Guild Piecemaker - A fearful shrapnel artillery cannon, amazing power and blast radius, very slow and high cost. Any infantry army that faces this will be lucky to end up merely decimated.

Guild Satelite - A self destructing satelite that will hover over enemy bases or unit groups and self destruct, sending out a huge lightning beam with a massive shockwave.

Also in the future: An Ix jetpack trooper that drops incideniary bombs on enemies from above.

Keep in mind if you want to help with this mod, that we don't want a game where one team has an unfair advantage, each unit should be balanced, and in keeping with the ethos of its respective army and must also stay faithful to the rules of the original dune books. It must however, also have a useful function.
