Ending games prematurely.

I was just wondering:

Is it okay to quit a game early if you think (or know) that the enemy is going to win and there is no point in going on anyway? Or should you fight till the last unit and structure have been terminated?

I'm talking about the kind of situations where there are 2 players onto 1, you have no cash, all the spice fields are occupied by enemy forces, and there are 20 minos sitting on your doorstep. ???

In ranked games don't worry about it. Quit if you have no hope of winning.

In skirmish games it's nice if you stick around and give you enemy the pleasure of blowing up your base after they went to all the trouble to kill your economy and everything else. It's like the icing on the cake in skirmish games. They aren't ranked so the funnest part about them is blowing up the enemy base.

I believe that no one should ever just 'quit' the game. if you have nothing else and are thinking about quiting sell most of your buildings, take the guys you get and for a small attack force and ther you go go down fighting

I like to fight the game till the end. But no problem if you quit. But I appreciate it if someone says he/she is leaving

is all cool, but when you have 4 factories 3 barracsk 4 barraks for each subhouse sars and fremen, plus about 3 to 4 hangers maybe 5 palaces 4 or 5 refinerys and a bunch of windtraps... and then you proceed to sell them off and it creats massive lag you would of been better off saying GG and quitting now your stuck in lagsville waiting on buildings to sale so you can attack with a handfull of troops (and your leftover harves go squish the enemy infantry ;D)

If its skirmish and im dead out of money no way back GG and im gone; if he/she is in my base with enuff force to wipe it out quickly, i'll hang around. But im not gonna wait for 20 minos to march accross fishers plain ( i could be in a nother game by then ;D)

I agree with Coolguy: attack with everything you have or stick around and make them pay when they attack, but don't just quit. I hate it when someone doesn't say a word, not even a "good game," and they quit. When I lose a game, I at least like to make my "kills" column as impressive as possible. Last night I played a game in which my Atreides partner was killed within two minutes by an Ordos/Hark rush. I then hung on for about two hours against the Ordos and Hark. In the end, I had 550 kills to their combined 300 despite the fact that my money ran out and I died a slow death. Sometimes you can just be proud to have put up a great fight against nearly impossible odds.

In QMs or BCs I guess its all right, just say gg before you quit. If its a 2v2 BC then DO NOT quit because it causes a wash and it's cheating. In a skirmish, Its usually best to sell off, although, some people like to "milk it" ie destroy every single harv, carryall, windtrap before they take your base/units in that case just quit,
