It is worth?

Of course it is!!!

Great and gorgeous graphics, amazing playability the voices are wonderful and the terrain looks great and watch how the peons chops trees is great, AFAIK the campaign are very good, i just played the first one (Orcs) and was great (it was the training campaign.

2 things that i love about W3 is:

_the pass of the time (day, night), at night your units see less than the day.

_HEROS: best inventions since the Mino ;) they have powerful powers.

It sucks. The voices sound like they are straight out of Teletubbies or Barney the big purple dinosaur, and they say lines like: "I am Hero, I obey!". Can there possibly be a more babyish RTS? I did not think so. Ugh. Everything about that game sucks. Even building your base requires so much micromanagment that it gives you a headache just trying to do it. (Not because the gameplay is deep, but because the interface and camera are extremely clunky).

Ive never played War 3,but to come to think of it War 2 did require a lot more micromanaging than red alert or emperor. The graphics and ideas sound good, and one of my freinds liked the demo.

The Undead Heroes have names like Bart Simpson (I kid you not!) and Wally Cleaver (from Leave it to Beaver). Can there possibly be a more babyish RTS? I did not think so. Ugh. Tsk,Tsk....

You see I love warcraft. Dont swear at naravos. He just wants to express himself in a very colorful way.lol Though I completely disagree with him. Warcraft is the coolest. the second was awesome! and this 3rd one is what I have been waiting for and it looks beautiful. I love it.:)

common ! the setting for the game is back in the day! their speach is realistic in a way. and common, the game is good. and about the micromanagement, who cares? so, it needs a little more strategy, but what game doesn't after a awhile ?!

Games should be FUN. key word = FUN. Getting a headache because your base takes a ludicrous amount of Micro just to build is WORK, not fun. Unlike in Emperor, the icons to make buildings and units are NOT always on the screen in WarCraft 3, you have to MANUALLY click on a peon unit just to access your menu for making buildings. Then you have to MANUALLY click on your buildings to make units from that building. This is a *major* pain in the ass for anyone who likes a more fun and less-WORK interface as is present in Westwood RTS games.

So the game is different than westwood rts games. Its still fun for the people who are intellactually advanced enough to be able play it differently and not get a headache. Its pretty easy to do.It just takes a little longer to build your base and launch attacks. Its the RTS game for the "smarter" gamer. ;)

right. RTS is for the smarter player. it's called strategy and thinking. some people actually get kicks outa that. horrible isn't it navaros ?!?! common...thats why they're called RTS, real time STRATEGY. what, so ur too lazy to click a couple more times to make a unit then westwood games? common man. if you're not havin fun with this game it's either cuz of 3 reasons: 1)you're not good at it 2) you dont understand it or 3)youre not good at RTS's at all.

Well, I, for one, don't like WarCraft period. Not I, II, or III. Starcraft is OK, but there's still way too much micro. Oh and that damn 12 unit selection limit!

micromanagement is my best thing.. Just my positioning your units in the right way and taking out certain targets before others, evading enemy fire and ambushing enemies is how i often own enemies in starcraft.... if the enemy loses twice as many units as i do then he/she will need one hell of a macro to compensate that

I am all for good Micro of your units in an RTS (I wouldn't be number 1 on the ATR ladder right now if I didn't understand the importance of Micro). However, buidling your base is a major pain in the ass because the interface is clunky and navigating the camera around is a very choppy ordeal. There are not even enough hotkeys (I know what all the hotkeys are, but they need wayyyyyyyy more to streamline the interface) It takes too long to build your base, and it's too much *work* because of the *clunky interface*, not because the gameplay is deep.Someone gave the wrong reasons why WarCraft 3 is not fun for me. Here are the real top reasons:1. The voice acting and graphics are designed for children aged 2 - 4 years of age. I feel like I am playing an episode of Teletubbies or Barney the big Purple Dinosaur. I was surprised my army didn't start singing "I love you, you love me, we're a big mushy Family lalalalalalla etc."2. The colors in the game are completely bland and washed-out looking. The backgrounds and characters models look like badly-drawn Origami cutouts. The whole games has a very immature, babyish, highly "stupid" look to it that causes my interest in which band of Origami cutout wins the battle to be almost non-existant since just watching the Origami fight puts me to sleep.3. Having to take your "Hero" out and level him up by killing computer-controlled monsters is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in an RTS. This is supposed to be an RTS, yet Blizzard has turned it into Diablo-Lite. LOL It doesn't say Diablo on the box so why do I feel like I am playing a dumbed-down version of Diablo? LOL4. The game is half-baked in terms of interface. You can not even have the computer select your race by default. That alone should tell you just how incomplete the interface is. For each and every game you ever play of WC 3, you have to MANUALLY select your race before the game starts. There is not even any bookmarking function like in Emperor, even though bookmarking in WC 3 is highly necessary. When you assign something to a Group number, the number does not even appear on that group (like it does in Emperor, thankfully) so if you have 9 groups assigned and happened to forget which numbers are which, you have to try switching to each group just to know what number they are. There is not even a Type Select hot key! (Which is very well done in Emperor because you can summon all units of a Type from anywhere on the Map. In WC 3 if you want units guarding your base to join the battle the fastest way to do that is to move the camera back to your base and then click on the units, then click on the mini-Map to where you want them to go ::)). Oversights like this might not make any difference to the casual RTS player who does not understand the importance of an interface that allows speed and efficiency, but the best Emperor players will be able to see exactly why WC 3's interface is clunky and incomplete, and makes for a game that is a pain in the ass simply because doing things takes wayyy more Micro than is necessary - Micro that the best players would be able to avert if the interface included functions that the best players could use to avert it, as is the case in Emperor, but sadly, not in WarCraft 3.

YOU think it's clunky... I think that the interface is way better than westwoods'. I can't even tell you why i think that but i just grew up with it. first dune2, then war2 and later starcraft and stuff.... I've always found it easier then westwoods' interface

What's funny is that Nav types up all all this, only for people to say he's a dumbass ;D

Anyways, maybe WW made you lazy or something, but that much microm. makes it a great RTS. You get that? RTS = Real-Time Strategy. Strategy is a must, it makes WC3 great. So if you don't like using your brain for once, then by all means don't buy the game and SHHHH.
