Hi; Interested in some campaigns and maps? There are plenty of them here in the forum=D; I can show you tons of campaigns to play, but I won't bother you if you only like the online part of the game.

Well, then you may missed aaaaaalll of these.
https://forum.dune2k.com/topic/27756-all-completed-mods-and-tools-index-dune-2000/
There are around 50 campaigns there; so you have tons of stuff to play with =D. Whatever you want to play with a traditional House or just go around with Imperials, smugglers...

I guess you mean my Butlerian Jihad; Well, now it is a full trilogy, that's right, 3 whole Butlerian Jihad available, and the sequels are as hard as the original, so carefull with these :P.

But if you want to start more easy; I could suggest you my "Emperor's plan" one; have some "intros", and some maps have a bit weird set up, but maybe except for 1-2 maps, the campaign it's overall easy (at least compared with other of my works).

On the other hand, if you enjoy having teamates with you, even if they are just controlled by the A.I., then pick the one called "Herectic Alliances"; during this campaign you will always have at least 1 ally that will help you in battle. Missions are suppose to feel unique, so sometimes your ally helps a lot, sometimes not as much, but there will always be an A.I. to help you win.

There are more, but with that link on the top you can see yourself the insane amount of campaigns that have been done, some of them maybe you already played, but I guess there are plenty new for you, so you can have fun for a while looking for a specific kind of campaign (or house to play with) and beating some of the campaign that me and another modders we did over these years.

Hey man!

I am still around, although I am not playing online anymore. Years have passed, I don't have the time required to play online due to work and other things. I am, however, still involved in the singleplayer community for mapping, which is basically me, Cm and Fey at this point :D

If you like singleplayer missions, there are quite a bunch around here! And if you enjoyed War of Assassins and Sandstorm, I am currently working on a sequel for them :) Both Fey and Cm are also active when it comes to making missions.

When it comes to the online scene, I guess dato knows more about that. He is very active on the online part. There is also a discord server for Dune 2000, just check one of the topics here for an invite.

Glad to see you back man :D

My campaign called "Harkonnen Family" goes into the hard mode, at least on mission 6 on onward, but of course, I recommend playing all just to follow the story, or what happens at mission 6 won't make any sense :P.

I also think people also find my "Ordos's Tactics" campaign hard, at least the last 3 missions, mainly with the Deviator that need to be used against enemy harverster every minute, requiring to paid attention.

I can't tell for sure if "Smuggling Operation" it's really that hard; people had problems when this was a minicampaign (maybe you remember it); but now it is a full campaign with 9 missions + 1 extra bonus; the bonus mission with an alternate ending it's totally the harderst mission of the whole campaign.

This is a very old work of mine, so maybe you played already, but my "Antifremen" campaign turned to be a bit too hard for what I really wanted to be; I never bother to change it, so is still a challenging one.

And finally, the Butlerian Jihad trio of campaigns are totally one of the harderst, even since early stages the mission may start a bit rought already. The Original "Butlerian Jihad" it's worth replaying it again, since I modified the maps a bit. For example, now the "unknown" enemies use an specific color just for then (not Ix), and they won't always be Atreides, now they may use Ordos and Harkonnen buildings/units depending of the map (and the story). So although you already played it, with the changes will feel more new to you.

So I recommend to give a try once again to the original one, after you do (or if you don't want to replay it); then move on into the two sequels; Butlerian Jihad: War Machines and Butlerian Jihad: Zone Zero, in this order. These continue de story of the original one.

So yeah, these are what I consider the harderst campaign, with the Butlerian (the three of them) and the "Antifrement" considered to me overall as the harderst. The other campaigns may be hard in the last 3-4 missions of the campaign.

None of this campaigns requires modifications or extra editions, just moving files and that's it.

Wow, welcome back fam! Things are certainly still being developed around here. We have new tilesets, modding tools, mods, epic new campaigns and stuff. Cm just finished a mini-campaign the other day where you're Santa and need to beat up the people stealing Christmas or something idk lmao

Anyway, if you're looking for a challenging campaign, my main project features the following:

Spoiler

 - Eighteen levels & thirty missions (29 are done :P)
 - Custom artwork, including a brand-new Heighliner tileset, new structures, and a colorful new skin for the Combat Tanks
 - A carefully-tuned difficulty curve, from a simple tutorial level to THE most technically complex single-player map ever designed for Dune 2000
 - Meticulously crafted gameplay where opportunities for open combat, aggression, stealth, and even more strategic styles are widespread
 - A wide variety of missions, including more abstract concepts like an escort mission or a tower defense
 - Maps built to present a sense of size and scale while allowing for practical unit pathing
 - A character-driven story based on the original by Westwood, with twists and turns

If you want to see some related images, here ya go:

Spoiler

Pictured:
1. The additional intel section of the briefing on S13V1. Addtional intel sections offer info about units relevant to the mission, or more lore about a commander.
2. The end of the first section of the first bonus mission. Rowe Summers and Issam Nehara look over a smuggler base shortly before Imperials intercept them.
3. A few minutes into S08. In this screenshot, you can see the new Duelist Tank unit, and the new Combat Tank skin featuring colored stripes and dark treads.
4. Rowe Summers happening across an inactive Storm Lasher megaturret prototype on S06V2. The crates in the image can, in fact, be harvested like Spice.
5. The beginning of the third bonus mission, the tower defense. A Mass Deposit (an infinitely-harvestable node) and an RPG Quad can also be seen there.

If you'd like to play through, here are twenty-eight of the thirty missions:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1y48LuY8cuL4KU3iHpZ__WakoGs_bbwDW

S17V1 and V2 are the unfinished maps. Well, S17V2 is technically done, but it's in a first draft state. It needs testing! If you want to test it (and I would be very grateful, especially if you provided feedback as well), please check this post in the WIP thread:
https://forum.dune2k.com/topic/27783-wip-smugglers-campaign-2/?do=findComment&comment=397875

Otherwise, all eighteen levels are in, it's just that one version of level 17 is missing. Enjoy. :)

Edit: Oh yeah, I almost forgot. To install, just merge the data folder in the zip with the one in your D2k directory, and to uninstall, do the same with the data folder under the backup folder in the zip. Easy! Then launch the missions through Mission Launcher > All Missions > Smugglers.

Yeah, keep in mind that the Butlerian Jihad (the first) got the update more or less 1 year ago, and although the maps and the objetives are the same; I change Ai's build rate, move enemy reinforcements to drop on another area (or even changing the units the carryall leave) so it may change a bit since the last time you played it.

And the smuggling operations keep in mind it was a minicampaign with only 4 stages back in them, now it is a 9 full campaig+1 extra bonus mission, so there are new content there.

Anyway, feel free to play whatever campaign you want, and later you can tell us how you feel or if the campaigns are not as difficult as I have made them seem.

Oh, you've done mine already? Okay. :P

Well, Cm's recently done up some sick Butlerian Jihad sequel campaigns. Feda's gonna come out with a War of Assassins sequel soon, and I've almost got S17V1 done. There are also some neat puzzle maps in the Glory Awaits campaigns. :)

XD I remember that too. Cm did re-balancing on a lot of his old campaigns; the updated versions can surely be found in the completed mods and tools index.

Could be bad luck, there is only 3 reasons why an AI send 50 vehicles too early.
1º: sandworm went against the enemy harverster, the turrets or tanks shoot at it, hitting the harversters in the process, AI "blames" the player so send all the units that are in defensive action against you (combined with the reinforcements I may add you may get an attack too strong too early).
2º: you scouted and attacked enemy harverster, even if was by mistake; same process as point "1".
3º: you scouted, when into the enemy base, and here the AI sometimes just simply destroy your scout (or try to reach it around the base) and come back into the base, but sometimes goes wild and try to hunter the player even and his own base (and again, adding reinforcements... strong attacks to early).

Otherwise maybe the map was planned that way and you started building 3 refineries early and not having a barrack early to help you to protect; but anyway, I don't know which map you were playing; but yes since you already played most of my works, you may leave the butlerian trio to the end and play the others first.

This is why my AIs tend to have, like, a 20-35 Protect ratio. XD They send a few units to help Harvesters, but will save the majority of their army for defending the base itself or for attacking the player.

I always thought it was funny the AI's scariest 'attack' often came from defensive behavior. lol

Usually my "defense" ratio it's lower than the ofensive one, but still, you can set a 10 defense and the AI still will rage and send whatever available at any moment.

like creating defense areas that make the Ai to send ALL units for no reason but "somebody attacked me".

With the defense ratio set very low, the AI tends to trickle units into attackers. Or, at least, that's how it's behaved for me. :P The defense areas are pretty neat, you can use very low defense strength values for such areas and the AI will send a bunch of units once the defenders in the area are down. Usually. Sometimes they do that, sometimes they don't. We gotta figure out what makes them do that lol

In my campaign? 😅 I hope not! But since you said, "past mission 9," since my campaign notably is longer than the norm, it sounds like it lol

What mission are you having trouble with? I playtested everything myself, on hard mode, so I know it's all possible. :) As did some other folks. And I suppose I could offer some advice!
