Guest Screamer
Definetly fremen en sardauker because the sardauker are great for offense en the fremen can sneak in a base and destroy the wind traps and the sardauker can move in with some support of the fremen and ornicopters. Acriku
How many threads are on this subject now? 5? Anyways, I think Fremen/Guild.
Guest Hasmir Fenring
Sardaukar and Ix make for a deadly mix because the Ix copy everyone else with their holo tanks.
daniel
yah but the sardukar are close range fiters
Guest Ordos_Yogurt
I believe that the Ixians and Guild are the best. Guild and Ix can make sneak attacks on an enemy, while they are both excellent defenders.=======================The mionigos are sold outY
nemafakei
Fremen/Ix are good; Projections of feydakin are cheap, stealthy, and powerful. All feydakin weaknesses are similar to projection weaknesses, so there's no point buying many more feydakin when they can be projected. subarupunk
[glow=red,2,300] ::)Personnally, I am all about da fr3m3n and da ixians,
nemafakei
Quite obviously. But using Infiltrators on one side of a base, and feydakin on the other is brilliant. Try it on a human, and (s)he'll be badly annoyed; an AI's units may stand in the middle, completely flummoxed!
subarupunk
usually if I am being bombarded by some friends when we play on lan, then I scatter my troops to each corner of my base to get maximum coverage. Â if against infiltrators then just pray for lome reinforcements.
nemafakei
Airlifted infiltrators can be incredibly deadly - but expensive...Combine with Airlifted APCs with fremen... ouch!
subarupunk
I much prefer to ride wormies than be airlifted but you have a good idea. Â I don't think i've ever airlifted apc's fully loaded before, never thought of it.
nemafakei
Worms are not good for transport in the game. They are cumbersome, not enstealthed, difficult to summon and have a tendancy to be distracted by food.
subarupunk
so, they are fun to watch and are scary when they are heading towards you. It's all just a game of manipulation and intimidation.but still the stealthing poses a problem.
nemafakei
But as soon as you do see them, you get hurt a hell of a lot. Besides, wormriding isn't initmidating if you know its vulnerabilities.
ordos45
I like adding soemthing to the strat. Â I detonate the infiltrators and EEITS simultaneusly in the base and then send the Fedaykin rushing in on guard mode.
nemafakei
Nice. Good finesse.
subarupunk
so what if a sonic tank killes your worm and all your people go down with it. Â In the movie they are the bomb, and faster.Infiltrators are good and I like setting them in the middle of armies when they are just sitting there. areyouforit
i like the guild and ix cause right before you transport guild you can get the enemy by using ix on there defense and then then destroying everything else with guild after you teleport them. nemafakei
Perhaps, but good players will be completely unphased by the ixian assault, as they will use scouts and other things to counteract the threat. The NIABs will be destroyed as a matter of course.
subarupunk
well you can't forget to send something that does damage as well.
nemafakei
Er... that is then turned into a simple 'hit them and finish them off' attack. You can do it with air units as well if you ground assault air defences then strike with ornis.
subarupunk
sounds good.what about some troopers and infantry, by themselves they suck but in large groups they are sweet.
bob_fox
Nothing can stop a determined group of Troopers. ;D
nemafakei
No, nothing except a determined Mino or two, or sonics, or inkvine, or mortars, or enough flame...For all but the last, the range will outstrip troopers', and they'll not get chance to attack. And don't sugest hundreds upon hundreds of troopers, because I'll say the equivalent in Minos, sonics, etc.
Guest BlUe_HaWk
Troopers would easily be stopped by many things.
