Is this Dune II version legal?

Saw this Dune II cd version on a eBay like site:

I doubting if this is a legal version because in the left down corner it sates "Artwork by ..."

Well, the cover art is official, but then again, it could have been an unauthorized copy after all.

It was released 17 years ago, I'm not sure the legality is an issue these days.

I think he wants to know if it is an original version, and not some pirated version. Most likely looking for a "collectable item" and not some knockoff.

All in all, I believe there are several box arts. The martkplaats link though looks like a printed and folder piece of paper to me.

That are my thoughts too, I was pretty sure this one is not an original version.

I have contact with the one who has this one for sale and he was pretty sure it's original.

All his other stuff for sale are originals so its no set-up I believe.

As to the original post, I don't even see the item in the market place anymore but... for those curious, I believe there was a thread a while back with all the Dune II covers. But I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where it is?

I did make copy of the ad but cant find it at the moment.

I sent this picture to the seller with the point circled around of which i believe it's proof being he's selling not a legal version.

Ah I see. Well, my box cover definately says nothing like that. I couldn't tell you about the CD insert since mine was on floppies, but I'm willing to bet you're right.
