hey thanks U all. thanks for the links too. I know that fischer is a great map. I never said it is bad. I like to play it too. But all the way some viarity would make more fun. Really, fisher has great stratagical possibilities, but maps like fan made maps like HIDDEN MESA have absolutly different terms and conditions, U can not compere them. But ok, I read in the links that there R some players, that have also fan made maps, so they R welcome allways to test some new terrains of Arrakis.

with a setup like that i cant believe you (or even spicy) didnt dish out the extra dough for another stick of ram.

Well Grummmel, in my opinion your right. Variety in the maps played online is always good but you wont find many people willing to play them because they just see Fishers plain as the holy one! lol I really dont like that map that much but its a nice one and in my opinion it DOESNT have variety...just some 8 rocky areas and sand...sand and sand. Not much strategy there. But what can I say... I tried and created some maps and they are really fine, (try to play them on maximum graphics) but I guess no one plays them online, even thought set in low graphics they are still great. So...My advise is...get used to that idea.  ;)

with a setup like that i cant believe you (or even spicy) didnt dish out the extra dough for another stick of ram.  High end systems nowadays need atleast 1 gig.  Windows Xp Operating system uses 256mb of Ram all by ITSELF.  So its like you really only have 256mb of ram free.  Whereas if you had 1 gig you would have 744mb of ram free. 

well gun. its the lack of knolege my freind. i didnt even know befor i upgreaded the ram is a sepreat thing than the mother board or the cpu. actuly i didnt know mutch about hardware. so they told me 256 mb of ram is good. and befor i upgread i had only 128 mb ram on my old celeron.

when i learned from you here that i need more ram i had allready got the 256 chip. so i went to buy another  256 chip total 512mb. now u tell me i need 1g ram???? i didnt know that man, see the problem is i need to put another 256 chip it will be 768mb ram, coz i only have 3 ddr memory slots.

or i need to take back my 2 256mb chips  and get 2 512 mb chip. but if i sell the 256 ram now

i will sell them in half the price .and i will have to buy new ones , and as vollary said about money am not in a better chap at all, i bought an lcd  digital lg monitor for a very high expence

never to talk about the rest cpu and hardware  and stuff here in egypt is more expensive than usa

coz of imports lows and taxes. so you see i did have a choice, but when i make material recover

i will try to tread my 2 256ram for 2  512ram

and by the way i cant over cloack my pc coz its a prescot and i live in a  hot climate country

were room temp can go up to 50c on its own, my cpu was allready doing 70c this summer so i had to remover the cover. i dont want to burn the processor

Spicy, all the chips don't have to be the same size, just the same type. you can buy 512 sticks or 1 gig sticks for that matter, although 1 gig sticks can be expensive.
