If you dont recall hearing of petroglyhg, it`s the old gang from westwood who created command and conquer, and dune series.....

So this is worth waiting for.Anyone having some ideas what it`s gonna be,or what would you have put in THIS game ?

well they have been talking in the past of a FPS strategy game.

That was before SEGA signed on.

Petroglyph will collaborate on creating a Modern Military / Sci-Fi themed RTS franchise exclusively for SEGA.

probably refering to Star Wars game but one can only hope they mean a new DUNE game  ;D ;)

My guess would be that the Star Wars license is easier to acquire then the Dune license. And besides that, I think that Petroglyph thinks they can get more popularity with a Star Wars game, then with a Dune game. They are a new company, and even though their origin can be famous, they still have to prove themselves.

They use the term "an original RTS franchise" in the press release so it might just be an entirely new series as well.

Star Wars is licenced by LucasArts, not SEGA so wont be that.

It could be they will try to create a C&C style game that bridges the Generals type of battlefield with that of the Red Alert/Tiberium Wars games, of course not that they would ever say that as EA still holds all the rights to C&C!
