I have been playing this game about as long as anyone and I never knew this. Of course I'm not in the habit of checking files for games I play.

Thanks Gun.

I have disabled those two movies as standard from within Emperor for my Conflict of the Landsraad mod, without any problems, so anyone that has not used this tip, will find with COTL that it goes straight to the main menu.

The strange thing is I have also disabled ALL the in-game movies, but some save games (from before I disabled the movies) still can call the specific movie at that stage of the campaign(say Sard, or Heighliner etc). Really freaky is that some games (seems to be Defence campaign games) crash EBFD because the movie was disabled before the game was run or saved...

Yeah, why not just delete all the movies once you have seen them ? They are a waste of space, but I doubt it would help it to load any faster :P

I hope everyone out there uses either virtual CDs or the NoCD patch as that can help speed up the game when others do not need to wait for you to find your CD  8)
