mast3rbop
I don't if this is already asked, if so I ask again :)I was wondering if the old units/structures of Dune2000 are also included in Emperor Battle for Dune, I hope so cause that would be a great combination of the new tactis units and buildings.Hope you people at WW or FeD2k can answer my question.Greetings Mast3rBoP
Shiroko
Umm...Seems like most of them...There is a Sonic tank, Devastator for sure and probably all of the rest as well.-Shiroko
ravenwing
But... I hope there will be a lot of new units... and maybe some changes to the old ones... gettin tired of playing the same game over an over...
Guest m player
Old units ?!Unfortunatly, no.The Devastator is now a kinda heavy mech, as the majority of the vehicles in Dune Emperor, mechs, a few tanks and infantry, but almost all new or with an old name, like the Devastator. It's sad, cause i always feared that Westwood used mechs on Dune games, and now it happen !Good bye Quad,Good bye Ordos Combat Tank
garth
Mechs = slow moving worm food on arrakis. WW must really be off their rocker if they are including them.

garth
LOL if they have to be transported all the time they are good for nothing other than base defense.
niels
Sounds like the mkII from TSAnyway, who cares if they are wormfood. Maybe you have to choose short paths where the sand is really narrow. And there arent many worms on geidi prime
marc
How about just using a carry-all to dump them on the rocky surface where the enemy's base is built and then let it slowly destroy anything in it's path....
harkahn
Hey everyone:Im sure the new Devastator will be cool and everything, but i really kind of liked the old one. Maybe im just sentimental back from the days in '92. :) Well, everyone have a good Christams. Farewell. - Jason.
ordos45
It would probably be wise to use mechs for base defense. I mean whar happens if a worm pays a visit?
harkahn
Well, it shouldn't be a problem being as sandworms cannot travel over rock, it would be like beaching a whale. And as far as desert travel, treads would obviously be more effective than articulated limbs, like legs. Im sure Mechs would look cool, and would probably be better one rock, but over sand, or craters or really any rough terrain, treads, like in the original devastator design, would be much more effective. Besides, look at Star Wars, they didnt even have sand to contend with and the Empire's mechs got messed up badly by Ewoks.... fricking Ewoks, teddy bears with spears! Why? because of their legs, the same thing with the big AT AT's in Star Wars. If they had treads, they would have been almost invincible. Anyway, i suppose im rambling, but i dont care... Merry Christmas all. Farewell. - Jason.
brimstone
well mechs' aren't that bad. They can move the upper body in like 180 degrees and if they can jetpack or jump it'll be cool.mechs are heavy tho....
spaz
Mechs are cool.I'd like to see someones reaction when you approach their base with about 20 or 30 of them.Throw some along the perimeters of your base and your gonna be pretty hard to beat. the_red_duke
I like the looks of the mech new unit, Minotaur Tank. But I don't like the new design of Devastator. I prefer its older look of Mammoth Tank.
