Mahdi
By now most of you have probably heard of the upcoming war over what will replace DVD, HD-DVD or Blue Ray. What most of you haven't heard are the names of HD-DVD's 89 launch titles.Well, they were released today and, wouldn't you know it, the 1984 cult classic David Lynch's Dune is on the list. For more information, here is Toshiba's list of press releases. No exact date is given for the release of HD-DVD players or films in that format, but expect them sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. For those of you unaware of HD-DVD and Blue Ray, one of the best places to educate yourselves is http://www.hddvd.org/. erjin999
I have heard a lot about HD-DVD and not so much about blue-ray, I am assuming HD-DVD is virtually going to become the standard next generation High Definition format ?Or is there some curse that dune will put upon it that will ensure its demise ? Khan
Why would you need 30-50 gig for a movie?
Andrew
Because pirates need larger space on DVD's. ;)Or so that companies can put more stuff other than the movie on the DVD.The ultra, special, collectors, directors cut edition DVD. Now with 50% more games and crap!
