Bijaz
On one of the Harkonnen Missions against Ordos I found a small base that had brown uniformed soldiers. Are they smugglers? It say neutral unit when your cursor is over them. Do they help you if you don't kill them? ???
AMIgaBot
nope, they dont help you. u can capture that base, but capture refinery as last bulding cause if u take as first, they sell siloses and wind traps :Pin ordos missions u can have mercenaries as allies , in one harkonnen mission too. only atreides have no allies :/
Dunenewt
Brown shirts? Looks like a job for Hitler.
Reactor
Why should I take over their refinery and silos? Destroying them is more fun, and you'll gain precious points for them :)I never capture anything on campaign missions (unless it's necessary). In fact,if you capture a building, it'll be counted as "destroyed"?
sandworm
If you protect the base they will help you in a later mission
Spectral Paladin
Concerning capturing buildings, you might want to capture the emperor's palace instead of destroying it.
Reactor
Right, but the time when you arrive to the Emperor's palace, there'z no point in capturing it. You'll have sardaukars alright, but I suspect you have heavier equipment at that time. I always destroy all neutral and hostile units to collect some serious points :)
MrFlibble
If you protect the base they will help you in a later missionReally? I don't remember anything like that...Actually, at least on that version of the mission where your base is near the center of the map, and smugglers are just above it (separated by cliffs, though) it is inevitable that smugglers will become hostile, as some of their units (harvesters, especially) will occasionally be hit by your defensive units and structures, as the paths towards your base's entrance lie through spice fields where the smugglers mine.Once they're hosile, you can capture their silos for some money. If they've become hostile to Ordos too, their base will be eventually destroyed by Ordos onslaught.
Reactor
The Smugglers won't protect you in "later missions". You confuse them wit' the Mercenary forces, which has dark yellowish colour. The smugglers has brown colour. They're just harvesting spice, and screwing around near their small outpost. If you're really looking for some trouble, y'can obliterate'em, and take over their base and stuff.I always destroy them, even the buildings, this way I shall acquire some serious points! I want to be ranked over "Chief Warlord", so it's really a good thing to set Smugglers' base to burst.
