As you may know, many things can cause damage to the health of our bodies. Smoking, drinking, even eating toasted bread. But now, it seems that the subway is "dangerous" too. A local newspaper wrote an article about this, here is the link (in Swedish):

http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/nyheter/story/0,2789,583898,00.html

Basically, it says that tiny metallic particles, that are released when the subway is stopping at a station (from the rails and the breaks of the subway), can damage the body's DNA. These particles travel by air and protection is impossible. Further, the study showed that, in comparison, the air in the subway contains 80 times more pollution than the most polluted street in Stockholm (which is Hornsgatan). Basically (according to the scientists), spending 20 minutes in the subway equals 24 hours on the most polluted street.

Now, if Stockholm is this dangerous, imagine places like Hong Kong or New York.
