Kal, Crusher keep your internal bullshit internal and use the IM System to fight.......OR YOU WILL GET........BearHugged!

Finally someone said it.

I like how this thread is turning out. My problem with 'hardcore' as a genre is that it doesn't make sense. The genre is supposed to sum-up(?) the music, but this music doesn't sound hardcore.

This is cool enough, but The singer should stick with his normal voice hehe.I don`t hear else what he`s singing. There are a diffrent blendings of diffrent bands here, Linkin`Park, some good old heavy, a little Iron Maiden and of course the gods BLACK SABBATH. HEHE.

Would like to hear them live tho.

Cybo

PS: it is not that hard core

and there is some recirculation here too.;)

sure you can get way harder than that.. but eventually the lyrics turn into pure growls and the music becomes pure clatter...  atleast the above bands rock hard while still preserving the integrity of the lyrics and the instruments.  Metallica is probably the best example of that.... they rock hard yet you can make out every lyric and the guitar solos are crisp and clear.

I guess what i am saying is i like bands where mastery is evident.

Metallica - excellent deep vocals and guitar

GnR - Slash on guitar... his solo on November Rain... nuff said

Stabbing westward - excellent shouting vocals

NIN - excellent shouting vocals

ACDC - excellent guitar

you get my point.

this atreyu band is "ok" i guess but i sure miss when bands sounded like professionals.

Ain't that the truth  :- And by professionals I myself would almost kill to go out and buy another cd where almost if not every song on it was

what I would consider "Balls to the Wall Rock".

e.g. GnR Appetite for destruction

    Megadeath Countdown to Extinction

    Van Halen Fair Warning

    AC/DC Back in Black

Metallica  and so on and so on, really too many to name but my point is, these mentioned although there are tons more, were considered hardcore

and un-radio air play friendly,  However, each and every song on these cd's/albums were ALL excellent songs anyway ya look at it.  *Sigh* Damn I miss buying a real quality rock cd.

Lets keep the bickering down.....this isent about the definition of hardcore its talking about Atreyu. Dam lol.....

Atreyu's new cd "The Curse" has been out for a lil while. I think its pretty good but not as good as "Sucide notes and butterfly kisses". Cant beat the originals. :)
