How come we dont place on ladder?

Olaf how come we dont get some prizes for emp, or even scoring there are prolly thirty people who play online thats enough to score wouldnt u think? any one else agree with me?

Not too interested in prizes, but the ladder would be good.

In fact I would be happy if the games we play now were recorded like they were before.

yeah right...i would like to have some more challenge, and i guess, if we get this working, some ppl woulda play much more, just to be more higher in the list...hehe...

but is it possible to solve these technical problems???

well there is only like 8-10 of us man. personally i dont care about ladders or prizes... i just care about awesome "matchups".

For instance i would love for me and you and senda to play brick, jeff, and spaze. Super matchups like that are why i still play this game.

I care, but i think as far as prizes go, unless some of us agree on some sort o pay pall donations of some kind, then the prize thing will never happen. IMO.

Just a quick note to let you guys know why the ladder isn't getting new results. The problem is something on Ords end so if any of you have his contact info please let him know about it.

It already does include them as far as I know.

it was just me and mord... senda was not online i paged him and he did not respond. Then he went offline. So we didnt have a 3rd player and so no actually i didnt "have a chance". ::)

Yes ur right u wouldnt have a chance in that game ;D

I will try to shout at him from London (joking, I will try msgr :P). If he does hear me, what do I tell him, O Great Gob ? That he is to "sort it out" ? Or to contact you and you can guide him ? Will he instinctivly know what to do, maybe ? :-

Well Olaf said he may just need to restart the proxy that is running on his computer... and if he should contact anyone its Olaf because he knows all about the XWIS programs and how they work. :)

Ords says he has restarted the proxy server, and also got a new one from Olaf. So hopefully we will see some results listed now.

And having just checked it, it seems to be working. ;D

Margoulia and korlover and some others were playing online today and their games do not seem to be recorded yet.... :-

Maybe. The wonderful Ords did say that he had to restart the proxy thing every day, as it messed up all the time. But that was before he said he got this new version from Mr Olaf. http://www.dune2k.com/forum/index.php?topic=11259.180;topicseen

Well anyone talk to Ords again and gotten this straitened out yet cuase I played a few qm games and they still aren't showing up.

Right. The story so far: I spoke to Ords and he said: His proxy is only responsible for the qm games (about which I dont know much) and not for the other non-qm games. He said the rest was taken care of by dune2k.

Thats what I understood from him. now I might have misinterpretted him, but I think his gist was that qm works (he tested it) and he doesnt know anything about the All-results part of the records...http://www.dune2k.com/ladder/?show=all <== That is what I mean.

The proxy is supposed to send the dune2k server all of the game results regardless of what type they are.
