Team Building ,Roleplay and Interpersonal skills are now considered KEY by employers in most big firms.

Uni ain't high school. Teachers (Lecturers) are facilitaters rather than teachers, It's up to you track down info and set work routines with your co learners rather than with them, one of my old lecturers never turned up to the first session on Mondays as he said 85% of the class will not arrive or be in any state to participate, those of you who do turn up probably don't need my help or would benifit from the social interaction with your team mates so that next week you won't bother to turn up on Monday Mornings either.

Surely on your 1st day you should be out there meeting others and signing up for events, clubs etc rather that stuck behind a computer!

"classes consists entirely of learning how to work in TEAMS, and DEVELOPING YOUR INTERPERSONAL SKILLS, and SETTING TARGETS AND GOALS, and EVALUATING AND CRITICALLY ASSESSING YOUR SKILLS AND QUALITIES"

A.k.a. "You're doing a computing course, so we don't expect you'll have any interpersonal skills"

I started doing group work last year.

This semester I plan on doing 10 hours a week in group work. Another 20 on my own time.

Then there is the time I spend in classes. ::)

Groupwork is essential when in a work environment.

I'm off tomorrow. I'll see when I can actually get connected (I will need to colect and install some software and so on), but I'll try to post as soon as feasible thereafter

Right, time to make a decent account of what I'm up to.

I've just started my first year of Classics at Queens' College, Cambridge. Yes, that means Latin ang Greek, and the civilisations surrounding them.

The Part IA course involves core work on language and literature, and studies in four additional subject areas within classics.

This term's literature (which we must be able to translate, comment on, and write essays about) includes:

- In Catilinam I and II

- Aeneid IX

- Lysias 1 and 3

- Odyssey IX and X

The four additional subject areas are:

- History

- Philosophy

- Art, Archaeology, and Architecture

- Linguistics and Philology

About which we must read (in original greek/latin where possible), write essays, and do other miscellaneous work.

And we've been told absolutely nothing about interpersonal skills.
