Sorry the Balfour Document (spelling?) influencing the giving of British controlled Palestine, and later the UN becomes involved, and everything continues to be screwed up from there...

You know, when they destroy the house, they get the people out before, and than bring it down with a bulldozer. They don't like bomb it or something...

yes but some people are anti-semitic and love to bash israelis regardless of the facts.....

in addition to that there is also "super-power envy".

I know how you feel gunwounds, but I dont think it is envy in most cases and that can be a bit unfair. Though I agree that there are a few who have envy. I think mostly it is a matter of political correctness that has seeped into the western community. It is an invisible law taht is very strict. The only explanation I have for it is there is something evil behind it. I dont want to sound like a holy roller, but there are places in the bible that talk about demonic powers that influence nations. I think that there is something behind a lot of these thigns concerning political correctness and the rise of secularism. It is so strikingly powerful and is growing so rapidly that I just think it has to sbe somethhing aiding the human factor inthe designs of these things. Israel is a perfect example. I mean if you look at it from a historical perspective, if it was any other people or nation, things would be totally different. it is something supernatural in my opinion. at least that is what I think. I know I will be made fun of for that though.

Three Palestinians, including an 11-year old boy were shot dead after "throwing stones" in the direction of Israeli soldiers in a refugee camp. :O Damn, what can stones do to you when you have helmets and flak suits on?

According to the IDF spokesman, soldiers deployed on the distant outskirts of Beir Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip were throughout the day confronted by Palestinian mobs who threw stones at them.

In several instances, in order to distance the demonstrators, troops fired warning shots in the air and in some instances towards walls of abandoned structures. Moreover, troops deployed had received strict instruction to refrain from shooting at the demonstrators despite the fact that armed Palestinian gunmen had mingled among the demonstrators in order to coax soldiers into shooting at them.

As for what an angry mob with stones can do to someone in a flak jacket and helmet, they can still kill a person in that gear.  One stone straight to the face not covered in the helmet.

When he is surrounded, he knows he will not survive, but if he is with his fellow soldiers and are overpowering the opposition(about 5 patrol soldiers with M16s vs 3 kids with small rocks from afar), it's not necessary to obtain peace with power.

Well they have strapped bombs to kids before and used them as bombers..... nothing is safe or sacred in that hellhole of a conflict.

* Among the stone throwers there are ALWAYS people with guns, especially if the stone throwers are children, the Hammas, Jihad, Fatah are not fighting with stones you know.

* when there is a mass throwing stones towards your directions chances are that you will get hit sooner or later, and YES we lost soldiers this way!

I was wondering why Israel doesn't arm its troops with riot shields and hasten the building of the wall so that when the Palestinians use catapults to hurl stones over it, the troops can fire mortar and artillery rounds over and we can see a larger-scale battle.
