So called Elite special abilities...

Hmm I remember Westwood saying that elite units would get new special abilities when they reach it, ie cloaking, no projectile etc. It just occured the only unit that actually gets a special ability is the sniper who gets stealth. Did westwood forget about this feature or what?

the only feature i would like for all elite units is higher attack, speed, auto heal

much like the elites in RA2. Those Elite were insane! they fire 1.5x faster and the fire 2x more shots

I think they did forget Cyclonus. I can't tell the difference between a normal Kobra and an elite one. Seems like same rate of fire, same distance, but let me look it up in the strat guide.

Sniper gets stealth.

Devestator gets Extra armor and additional damage.

Kobra gets Extra speed and more damage.

I only listed one from each house because most do get some new ability at elite aka 3rd veterncy. Hope this helps.

Yeah, but when Westwood refered to special abilities they meant more than extra armor and stuff. I mean I can't really tell the diff between elites and regular, the differences are way too subtle. I mean if a elite Devastator, had cloaking abilities or something else like that I think i'd be cool, but they don't...

the only realy good elites are atreides infantry elite. 5 of them took on a kobra and won. 5 of them took on 15 sadukar and won. in the words of tony the tiger there grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat.

That's a lil too great. But hey I play Atreides so I'm not complaining.

Only thing good about elite Infantry is that they auto heal so you can make hit and fade attacks

Same thing LOKI, and also elite infantry kick butt if played correctly.
