An Unofficial Poll...

First, the news.

George W. Bush, apparently, keeps as a souvenier the weapon Saddam Hussein had on his person when he was captured. "'He really liked showing it off,' says a recent visitor to the White House who has seen the gun. 'He was really proud of it.'" I suppose he has a right to be proud of capturing a man who was, without a doubt, a brutal dictator and who deserved to be removed from power. But, to be honest, isn't this all a little weird? Cowboyish, mayhap?

Anyway, I would have liked to make a poll about this topic, but I'm afraid, as Dust pointed out to me, that only Mods were granted the power to do so. As such, here's my unofficial poll.

What's going to happen with President Bush and his little friend?

-Nothing besides his approval rating going up.

-Nothing besides his approval rating going down.

-What a hero.

-What a cowboy.

-He's going to be waving it around, playing with it, and we'll hear a loud pop and a thud.

There is also a rumour that the Pentagon has paintings that Adolph Hitler painted, before he became a dictator (Hitler was interested in becoming an artist, but he failed to get into an art-school twice, so he figured he could use his intellectual skills for the army. Anyways, Hitler did paint some when he was young, so we're not talking about just one.).

I think that Bush's little sounevier is fair I guess, I mean he did take out Saddam. I don't think he should be waving around though, Iraq is still not stabalized.

i am sure if I was given the pistol of saddam or hitler or whatever i would be very interested in examining it , showing it to my friends,  and putting on display in the whitehouse.

I just wonder why Bush is keeping it?

After all, it was him who captured Saddam, it was men fighting for him. So it should be one of them who got to keep the gun.

Although I imagine that President Bush's gun-accident-to-be would initially elicit cheers from the Left, we can't forget that Cheney would become the leader of the free world.

No, Sard, it was American troops who found Saddam. 3rd Infantry, I believe. They got a tip and sent in more than a hundred men to catch him.
