If are going to flame are try to spark a flame then please don't reply.

your views on marian sightings (the appearance and message from the blessed virgin Mary)

*note, I am not catholic which would mean I wouldn't call Mary the blessed virgin Mary, but because this is a question that revolves around a Catholic belief I will address her like so.

Huh???

That about sums up my thoughts.

Perhaps you could elaborate?  What is a "Marian sighting" exactly?  Do you mean "Martian," maybe?  Or...?

it's Marian, not martian.

we were watching videos about them today in religion. most seem too far fetched, but some are quite interesting.

(shrugs) Probably good and bad. Good in that their faith is validated, bad in that they believe less because of faith and more because of fact. I mean, sure, they were vindicated in their faith, but now their fath has evolved into fact. So, is it truly faith? They are correct, but what about that core piece of their religion? Then again, there is the possibility that they have faith in the vision, as well as God, and only their faith allowed them to see something that would not seem to be there for the rest of us? If it reinforces their faith, good. If it invalidates it, bad.

Maybe it was an initiative from Maria herself. According to tradition, she was taken to haven with full body, so why not with own free will?

i thought only two people were taken to heaven in full body...

and i dont remember Mary being one of them.... i could be mistaken

Henoch, son of Jared (Gen 5, 24), was the first. Then Jesus, but he was taken with resurrected body and last one was his mother Maria.

You forget Elijah ??... he went to heaven in an angelic chariot right?

I always thought it was Elijah and Enoch who went to heaven without dying... (jesus was ressurected)

where in scripture does it say Mary went to heaven without dying?... i would like to read it out of interest.

Ah yes, of course, I forgot him. About Maria it's just a tradition, as her death isn't in Bible. Church agreed on a dogma about it. However, I can only speculate, in fact it doesn't matter very much.
