How can I do this?  I tried using prntscrn, and pasting into MSPaint or PSP, and I could get the whole screen except the movie iteself.  Instead, I got a window "through" the picture editor and to the movie, so if I moved the PSP window, everything except the movie would move.  So if I closed the movie, the file would be absolutely useless, as I would only have a border.

Try using Power Producer from Cybercom,I have it on my comp as bundled software and it takes snap shots of Mpeg's.

There is also a program from Kodak called Picture it,that does it too.

I think it depends on what graphic card you have.

The screen buffer made by Windows and the mpeg screen buffer are normally separated, and the video is being treated by the graphic card's overlay unit.

It may make it extremely hard to take screen shots of mpeg movies.

Please run the movie with software that can dump the mpeg screen buffer for you.

I have never taken a screenshot of mpg files, but I use Windows Media Player.

I have been taking screenshots of dvd films, though, and PowerDVD lets me do that.
