enter "french military victories" and then click "i'm feeling lucky"

Wow. A very old, biased and inaccurate political joke. How amusing.

Hey, why not type "weapons of mass destruction" into Google and hit "I'm feeling lucky", while you're at it. Or type "miserable failure" and do the same. Enjoy. ;)

Was Einstein really involved in the making of the A-bomb? That's not the way I remember it at least.

Einstein had nothing to do with the development of nuclear weapons. He was smarter than Oppenheimer and chose to stay out of it. Besides, nuclear physics wasn't his field of expertise anyway, so I doubt he could have helped.

The only thing Einstein did was to write a letter to President Roosevelt warning him that Germany might be developing a nuclear weapon.

Fedaykin, I was trying to say "Napoleon" in a very comical manner. I disagree that France never won a military victory; indeed, the reigns of Charlemagne and Napoleon could be considered some of the most successful governments in military terms in their respective corners of history. Napoleon, especially, conquered or indirectly controlled most of Europe. Even though he was a Corsican, his empire was French, he was loved by the French, and he led the French.

His earlier formulas were used, I think, and he certainly spent a lot of time protesting against them.

Yeah, I think you are right. He sort of "set up the base" for it.

If the French lost every battle they ever fought, then why is there still a country called France?

because countries like America kept rescuing them

yeah but newt that doesnt have much to do with frances strength as a military nation.

Still empr your statement is just so closed minded and one sided that it doesnt deserve a long response. I mean what is the point in doing so when you will just make the same statements you make again and again?

Honestly, what is the point of this bickering? This jingoistic condemnation of an entire country and all its people is really absurd. Emprworm was just pointing out an amusing Google bomb, and this really didn't need to explode into a heated argument about French history.

It's just humor. Live with it. The bits Gunwounds quoted were---if grossly inaccurate and oversimplified---rather funny. So can't we just move on?
