PR&P first poll

it's time that PR&P has a poll. The capitalism vs socialism never ending debate between the same people, repeating the same reasons all over again and again and again.

So, why not make a pool and see what the members think about it?

5 options should suffice:

1. Socialism followed by Communism

2. Socialism

3. Mixed economy (the modern welfare state - capitalism with socialist elements)

4. Capitalism

5. Some form of dictatorship

Options 1 and 2 are necessary to distinguish between socialists (who want socialism) and communists (who want socialism followed by communism). We have people of both categories on Fed2k.

And of course, there should also be an "other" and a "don't know" option.

But wait a second... is this the kind of poll zamboe was talking about? Or does he want a poll on what people think about the debates?

Good question.

It might also be a good idea to include some form of difference between the various kinds of dictatorship. For example the militaristic fascism, ranging to nazism; should be seperated from the monarchy-like systems ranging through imperialism and oligarchies. I for one take the latter, and who knows? There might be someone somewhere that supports the former.

Two or three more likely... but then they can be viewed and grouped accordingly (we can see not only the total in favour of dictatorial systems, but also those believing in Military dictators and in monarchies separately)

Anyway, I didn't include Nema's option 4 (Meritocracy), because every system claims to be meritocratic in its own way. Meritocracy is like Democracy - it's not a system in itself, but a feature that can be used by several systems.
