This is brilliant!!! You still, we destroy your property, so you'll have even less things/food/money so you need to steal more!In the end it said that one of the guys was a taxi cab driver and his life depended on that car. So, guess how he'll survive? He'll steal even more, but this time there won't be any car to crush.

Those soldiers are god damn idiots.

"and to the people feeling sorry  for the Iraqi looter... think about this.... if you came home from work to find a bunch of people looting your house ... taking your TV... your microwave...your computer... wouldnt you be pissed off?... and if a tank was around i would want their car crushed too for trying to take my shit...."

You like the fact that it's an IRAQI having some sort of twisted justice being served to him because he is an Iraqi. The Iraqi looters were stealing wood it's not like they had firing mechanisms.

The US soldiers didn't care about the looting - that wasn't remotely their belongings. No "you took my wood, now you die" feelings there. The soldiers were obviously bored and decided to be barbarians and vandals.

Wolfwiz, it's fine to say the Iraqi economy has improved by 30%... but what does that mean? Does that mean the Iraqi dollar is worth 30 cents more, does it mean that more money goes into and out of Iraq? Could it mean that oil companies are getting more money for their trouble? How does an economy that's improved by 30%, which is like saying an army has improved by 30% (without specifics, it doesn't really mean anything), affect the Iraqi people?

And is Baghdad the only city in Iraq? If it's got better power and plumbing, than 90% of Iraq is still squatting and rubbing a balloon on their head. A battalion's good deeds can hardly be acalled representative of a force that consists of hundreds of thousands of men and women, and dozens and dozens of battalions.

Does someone know if this got into any of the big medias?

probly not, because it shows something bad and you know, US doesnt do bad things ::)

Gunwounds, you're not turning arguments over him since you only brang your conclusion without showing what's backing it up. You seem to say this because he's Iraqi based on the fact that you wouldn't say that for an American. On his side, I believe that he does't say that out of sympathy for an Iraqi since he would say same for anyone, including Americans.

So, Gunwounds, would you agree that policemen (without any judge) destroy Americans' cars when they loot and laugh at them a bit?

FALSE FALSE FALSE

I clearly stated in my previous posts that if i came home and found some dipshit

YOu just have some twisted sympathy for the iraqis because they are IRAQIS... see i can turn that arguement around on you....

the fact is the soldiers had to stop the looting...

So... this house was in fact occupied at the time of it's looting? And most buildings or houses I imagine aren't built of wood, and living in the desert it would be less than easy to come by.

Because of people like you people get a bad impression about US and then you come here and complain about we beeing blinbed by our Bush hatred. But its the behavior of US goverment and SOME US people which makes us draw bad conclusions about US and apparently your one of those people.

Warskum ... i just dont get you ..... you never make any sense...

So your saying i am suppose to be happy when i come home and find my house robbed?

Whatever.... people like YOU are the problem.... you act all nice on the outside.... act like you dont care if people rob your house... act like you care about the Iraqi people.... act like your so nice... but the truth is that people like you are the worst kind.... cause you dont show your true feelings.... your just like a politician who says what people want to hear.... not what you mean...you actually agree with me inside your heart... but your too scared to show it on the outside because then "people on dune2k wont like you" ....that is the worst kind of cowardice.

How can anyone respect or trust that?

You DON'T destroy someone's property for stealing - it's like taking the last piece of bread from a poor beggar who wants to feed his family and has to steal. It's insensitive and retarded. You say Bush wants to improve Iraqi standard of living? Is crushing cars going to help that?

The only way to really prevent theft is to improve the living conditions and decrease the unemployment rate through offering better wages.

HE wasnt a fucking beggar .. he had a nice goddamn car for crying out loud.... dont try to use hyperbole to make him seem like some helpless beggar... the car he had was much nicer than most people in Baghdad.... he didnt need to be stealing....

what bullshit.... lemme put on my boots...

It was a metaphor, not a hyperbole. It did say in the end of the movie that his life depended on that car - that's how he earned money. Now he'll just have to steal more.

If you have a valid point, present it. How does destroying someone's property prevent stealing?

there is no prison to jail them in .. the soldiers have many duties.. they dont have time to babysit these damn iraqis...

the iraqis are grown men they should KNOW better than to be stealing....

It won't work as a deterrent, simply because most Iraqis don't have cars...should the soldiers start burning their houses too?

Don't loot! Or we'll burn your house, rape your daughters and kill your families?

Ok so your saying then that the Soldiers have to sit back and watch looters loot?

I heard about some "good honest" iraqis getting so pissed off at looting.. that they set up road blocks THEMSELVEs.. to stop their fellow "bad theiving" iraqis... and then held up AK-47s and demand the loot cars be unloaded...

Now if a US soldier pointed a gun at the iraqis... everyone would call them opressors.. but when a fellow iraqi does it.. its ok...

whatever....

Inoc; actually, Baghdad is the most worse-off sector of Iraq right now due to terrorist interference in reconstruction. The 411th is only one of dozens, possibly a hundred, such battalions currently roaming the country and rebuilding what they can. A good friend of mine's brother is a 2nd Lieutenant in the USMC, he is an engineer, and he was called to Iraq some time ago in order to lead a platoon in reconstruction.

Also, I believe teh 30% refers to a 30% increase in Iraqi GDP. This is also known as Gross Domestic Product, or the total amount of goods & services products by a nation in a certain amount of time. So, however you want to put it, the economy is now more productive.
