Scytale, The Vatican is not part of Italy.

The Vatican (Technically an independant state)

Pros:

Opulent scenery.

Much of the population are devoted to public services.

Comparatively rich state.

Stable and predicatable government.

Low crime rate.

Cons:

Ruled by a dictator who claims to have divine right.

Dictator appointed by a secretive oligarchy in the first place.

Dictator rendered ineffective due to ailing health.

Overcrowded on a daily basis with forigners, often manyfold more than the population.

Relies on the defensive technology of halberds.

All citizens are forced to accept the religion of the dictator.

blah blah that's BS, the vatican was only delcared an independant state because during the unifacation of Italy the pope lost control of all of his land and made the vatican so he'd some left. The vatican is in Italy and though it is technically not part of italy, I choose not to beleive so.

Actually the Swiss Guard only has those for ornamentation (though they have been trained with them).  They also train in several martial arts, as well as modern weaponry of many types.  Give a Swiss Guardsman an AK-47 of M-16 and you better be behind an armored veichle.

Plus I'm not sure the Vatican deserves to be called a country on their own. Christ, they don't even have a national soccer team!

I used to think they were pretty rich too until I heard somebody say that this is a common misconception. Saving souls isn't as profitable as it used to be in the middle ages.

Chile:

+ variety of climates

+ pisco (traditional drink) that mean "pisco sour" and "cola de mono"

+ chilean wine (better than french wine)

+ good comercial oportunities (through Pacific Ocean)

+ we have different cultures (such as descendants from diferent indigenous cultures and european inmigrants, like germans or yugoslav)

+ Huemuls, Condors and a big biodiversity.

+ A big sea --> fishes and seafood as the Avalon.

+ the Andes

+ lakes

+ the world driest desert --> Atacama

- we have angry country neighbors

- we got a stupid president

- we have crappy politics, such as the president

- we have a crappy army, except for the infantry.

- our president sucks

- police sucks (they are not corrupt, but they are useless and stupid as hell)
