Does anyone else think that the giant worm plot twist at the end of the atreides missions was the stupidest thing imaginable.

And why does it have little arms on it?

I think the worm thing is a pretty good ending twist.If that wasnt there it would be like Dune2k all over agian.And the arms are there becuse the guild and the tilaxu (spelling ???) breeded a half worm half man.

The Guild/Tleilaxu experiment was a damn good idea for a plot twist, and it made sense in the Dune Universe.

Well, Leto II was the Worm God Emperor in the fourth book of DUNE.

I think WW stole the idea of the Emperor-Worm form book 4, but the idea has a good place...

I think it was supposed to have a perfect view of the future. I was supposed to be the ultimate prophet.

Also, I really liked that plot twist! Otherwise the ending would have been very boring: "Yay, we won..."

It would of been nice to have DIFFERENT endings other then the Wormgod.

And just because it was the ultimate prophat doesn't mean anything.  It might see itself get killed, then what the hell happens?  It might get sucked in like Paul did, and think that it' can't change the future and die.

The Guild officer said to Princess Elara that her water would awaken the worm, that would have almost godlike powers.
