Big D
I also have trouble with the vdms emulator (for running dune 2)sometimes the program will crash and my computer will show a blue screen, then it brutally restarts >:( before I can read what the problem is (rage >:( :O)what am I to do?? :'(
Atomic Mitten
To stop your comp restarting all the time go to Start/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Startup and recovery, then click on settings under the heading system failure uncheck the box automatically re-start.Check your CPU fan and heatsink to see if it's full of dust ?Sounds like your comp is overheating ! Big D
I have recently vacuum-cleaned my pc, so most dust is gone.I'm trying out your other suggestion now.
Atomic Mitten
The only good way of cleaning your CPU heatsink and fan is with a can of compressed air.You can get this at a good electonics shop.
Big D
I got to read the blue screen. it mentioned that the problem may have something to do with memory ( ???1ghz :O)
Atomic Mitten
I would suggest that you turn off your comp, remove the memory sticks and re-seat them in their slots.Otherwise if this doesn't work, it looks like you might have a faulty ram stick.Maybe the shop where you bought them can test them for you ? Big D
I bought the comp from a university shop. am acquaintance of me who works there comes often to fix my computer. last thursday he removed those sticks and then put them back in, he also replaced a fan (as mentioned earlier)I dunno if I have a faulty ramstick though :-

Atomic Mitten
You could download the SP 1 service pack, this seems to resolve quite alot of problems with games and XP.Also I suggest you check which background processers are running, by pressing CTRL/ALT/Delete keys all at the same time, then click on processers.Look for pop up blockers or similar apps that are running, it might be one of these causing your problems.I have an AD Blocker ,exe that does this.
