Anyone else going to try and do NaNoWriMo in November?

Oh, um...I should probably explain what that is. It's short for "National Novel Writers Month". Basically normal people try and write a fifty thousand word novel between November 1 and November 30.

okay, 50.000 words.. ho many pages is that.. about 100? Do you have a subject yet?

actually, about 470 words per page, and about 104 pages...

That's with standard Times New Roman size 12, and one and a half line space.

Subject? Yep. (Glad everyone else did the math for how many words per page.)

To quote the LJ account I made for it with my only invite code:

we begin our story with a girl named Tara, who is struggling with her Christian faith. As the story progresses she ends up attending a Fall Retreat with her Youth Group, and prays for the Lord to show her what she needs to do. She is overwhelmed by the ghastly images, and a blue tunnel that surface in her mind.

After she comes home she approaches an online friend cautiously about what occurred. From that point forward things continue to spiral out of control, eventually involving a teen boy who carries through the plot to its convulted completion. As he learns more, he becomes even more disturbed, until finally the truth is revealed spanning from ancient civilizations, past lives, and eventually to the highest levels of organized religions.

Cool!  Only 5.83 pages per day, 1667 words per day on average.  And coffee, lots of coffee.  ;D

Fell about 10k short last year.  Writers' block hit bad.
