confused?

When I look at this board, I see a lot of moved threads, and so many topics to choose from, and so little amount of people left, is it just me or when you post are you a bit confused as to the precise topic it should be on (esp threads that could pass for more than 1 topic)

Yes, it can become rather confusing, but just put it in the place you think it suites best. And if you are wrong, the moderators will move it.

BTW, what happened to the nonsense thread?

kirov killed it him and gungsang gob deleated all the posts in it and i locked it. start a new one if you want...but beware

Yes, many people don't see the difference between the strategy forum and the general forum for Emperor. This is for all things of Emperor what don't have to do with strategies. That's why they are all moved. But they will lower to the end of the list after a while

This normally happens when you get a new member but now its a little worse since we are getting a lot of new members from the official boards.

Eventually people will have a better understanding of where to post what.

point well taken timmeln. From now on I will post any topics related to my strategy website on the strategies page.  However, i still have confusion because of a monster thread here about minos vs. devs, and shouldnt that also be in the strategy forum (?), yet apparantely it has been in this forum for a long time.  I guess I get confused because I see posts here that could be somewhere else and having your post moved is always a little embarrassing (because it means you screwed up).  Maybe I just dont have things clear yet, so over time, I'll get a feel for it I suppose.  And sure this thread perhaps is worth being moved, but  to quote you:

Am I to assume you just called my post a waste?  I didnt feel that way because it was a legitimate concern for me.  I'm new here and I dont know why you would welcome a new person by labelling their post as a bunch of nonsense.

No no there was a rather large thread in the fan fiction board that got out of control. Nothing to do with your thread. :)

As for the Dev vs Min thread I sorta let it go because it wasn't really a strategy, its one of those threads that could go either way I guess.

No, no ,no. I meant not that this is a nonsense thread. It was a thread in fan fiction. What was the only topic you was allowed to post: Yes, nonsense :). But even that gone wrong. After a while it wasn't funny anymore

Anyway, It's true about the deva vs mino. Maybe Gob/Mahdi should move that. Although there is already one there. Hmm is there a function what allows you to combine topics, Gob?

Oh, I'm sorry Timenn.  I totally mis-read your post.  I'm just "hyper-sensitive" I guess cause I come from an environment where flames and...well, i'll just forget about all that.  I apologize for my misunderstanding.   :-[

i do like this forum tho.  its well organized and i like the YABB functionality.  Its just exponentially better than the old WW forum.  I'll get a feel for things after a while, im sure,  and where they belong.

Hey emp, in the future it works better if you hit the modify button on your post and add whateevr you have to say to it instead of posting two posts one after another so soon.  Doesn't fill threads up so quickly:)
