Ping 1000 on WOL

Does anyone know why everyone on wol shows up as having a ping of 1000, even those with DSL and cable connections ? ???

It's your computer, if everyone else is that slow. The ping from you to them and back to you took a long time it seems.

They must have changed something on the WOL server

No more ping info what results everybody having 1000 ping now?

There is a similar problem on the generals server

More and more players have a red dot ( ghost ping )

It seems that some internet providers do not give the isp info anymore as protection against those new worm virusses

1000 ping is not so bad.. j/k ;D only one time in my life it happend to me.. it was in generals not long ago.. but it got fixed in a day so i got no worries...

I said that everyone on the lobby of wol shows up as having a ping of 1000.OK ! ;)

Actually I have seen people with pings of 200-800 lately. But still some 1000 ones.

i know mitten, this heppens because of the internet companies doing some kind of new things to the internet which block your request to see other players ping.. and as ea said: u just have to deal with it...

It's plain and simple dumb of EA to say that. They could very easily fix this issue for their paying customers. They've stated they might put a message up when players come online with Generals to state that users are suffering this problem, but should impact game play. The time to make that message could well be spend to fix this issue.

Currently some members from Game Heaven are trying to provide a work around. It's still in a test phase though..

I found out that if I select the usa server in game options/network, the ping shows up as it should, for most players not all.
