Problems with Trillian

So Fuhrer Bill Gates has blocked all access to his non-spyware/adware filled versions of MSN Messenger as of tonite.

i installed Trillian to bypass the Fuhrer's acts of terrorism, but i have a problem with Trillian

when i logon to MSN Messenger with Trillian, i get about 100+ individual windows popping asking me "do you want to add this person to your list, and do you want this person to see you online?"

But i *ALREADY* have everyone on my list who i want to be there, and everyone blocked who i want to block. i do not have the time to go around clicking on each of these 100+ pop-up windows just to confirm information the Trillian program already has! (i know that it has all this info already because Trillian displays my Contact List and Block List intact right now even with these pop-up windows all un-answered).

on top of that, it just lists the EMAIL ADDRESS of the people in the pop-up windows instead of their MSN Messenger nicks - so even if i wanted to manually click thru them all i couldn't because i wouldn't know who the heck most of them are! plus, i wouldn't wanna do that every time i have to re-install Trillian

this sucks. someone please tell me an easy solution to get rid of all these pop-up windows without manually clicking on them

EDIT: the above-problem seems to have magically corrected itself though i will leave this text here in case it re-surfaces or if someone knows why it may have happened

now i have another problem. how do i increase the text-size in Trillian? by that i mean, the text that *I* see. it uses the standard Trillian text size and font - but what i *WANT* to see is the other person's font and size just like i would in a real MSN Messenger convo. can i do that?

also, the text at the bottom of the screen that says "_________" has joined the conversation and stays there permanently every time i message anybody is VERY annoying. can i get rid of that?

This must be my fault .. . but he has blocked all access while you are able to log in with Trillian and at the same time as I am typing this I am connected to MSN with a Gaim client ?

Now we know why MSN needs those security updates .. :P

ken & cyborg - if you guys get off on having mad flashing and pop-ads assault your eyes constantly because you love MicroSoft so much and think that them abusing you like that is "ok", please keep it to yourself and don't post in this thread if you have nothing constructive to add.

i am still having these font issues with Trillian and would appreciate help from any Trillian veterans who are reading this

Does the web site where you downloaded Trillian not have a FAQ page ?

Maybe you can block or change the way Trillian displays E-mail addresses or MSN nicks, in the status bar.

Something like options or tools?

I am using MSN 6.0 but I don't have any problems with it,I could even change my Nick to that of my WOL nick.

Where did you download Trillian from, I could take a look at it.

You can change Trillians text in the properties somewhere. . .I'll have to look again if you would like to know the precise location .. . although I suppose I am still on your bann-list and it wouldn't be of any use if I should post it.

Think the best place to download Trillian is with www.Trillian.cc if I remember the URL correct. .

i already checked all the Preference options and it just has options for what *my* font will look appear as to the other person, but nothing for increasing the text size that *I* see

the reason i didn't post this in Tech Support is so you gryphon, couldn't Delete this legit thread like you did to the last legit thread which I posted in Tech Support ::)

It might help it you uncheck the show text formatting option in the tab listed below.

[ the screenshot is taken from Trillian PRO2, so the options might be a little but different for Trillian 0.74 and PRO1. . ]

On the other part. . as much as you would like to. . it is not for you to judge which topic are legit and which arn't..
