isolated planets

do you guys think there still exsited isolated planets from the old empire while paul and leto II were emperors? like the tleilaxu?

I won't spoil the later books for you, and it now occurs to me that I should really have a put a spoiler warning there. Just settle for the fact that the Tleilaxu must have survived or they wouldn't have produced all of Leto II's Duncan gholas.

I'm sure there are many isolated planets. Mined out planets may have been left behind along with some of it's inhabitants, for example. Or perhaps some "monastery" planets exist in this universe.

what do you mean by monastery planets?

I mean planets that are monasteries. Entire worlds that are protected from outside temptations, and run by a society of monks. A bit like Fiorina "Fury" 161 from Alien 3, except without the whole convict/mining thing.

Like (damn, can't remember the name, the planet where the Rautha family lives). That is sort of a monastary planet.

that's isn't a monestary planet. there are lots of other people than monks there. mostly fishers.
